Like so many previous reviews, our group of 10 friends (who stayed for 3 nights in early June) all agree that Stone Villa is an excellent Guest House. Dave greeted us warmly in his car park and we were shown to the residents sitting area and treated to tea and cake, presumably cooked by Kirsty, which was delicious. The hosts were thoughtful, accommodating, efficient. Dave rang the local pub to book a table for the 10 of us.
The rooms were spotlessly clean, had everything we needed (including baths and silent fridges) and beds were comfortable.
We all agreed that the breakfasts were great. I personally don't eat a cooked breakfast so I was delighted with the alternative continental - lovely selection of fruit, pastries etc.
Although the walk into town took close to 15 minutes, it was pleasant enough and the off road parking facility more than made up for it.
If we were to visit Chester again, this would be the Guest House of our choice.
The icing on the cake, however, would be a small jug of fresh milk in the bedroom fridges.
From a purely personal point of view (me being the ultra-picky person that I am), I think the grouting/silicone in the shower area of room Werbergh could do with refreshing.More
