The Hotel lies just within the city walls just a short distance from the city centre. The Hotel is clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very good. We opted to walk from the railway station which took about 20 minutes but the hotel was easy to find. Chester is a lovely place and during our 3 night stay we managed to see most things including having a 2 hour river cruise.

If your into old buildings this is the one for you. Creaks, groans, the lot. Staff really helpful. Sufficient breakfasts and really close to various restaurants of all genres and prices. 5 minute walk from city centre and half that from the "Pied Bull the oldest serving licensed establishment in Chester even has its own micro brewery, a must for real ale buffs

The Chester Town House is unique. It is beautiful old house that is very luxurious. We had a lovely canopy bed. They arranged parking for us. We had a very good English breakfast. The bathroom was clean and modern. The living room is very inviting. You would never think that the back of the house has a beautiful English garden.Trish was very helpful and friendly.

Great little B & B, full of character just five minutes walk from the Town Hall and central square. Old building, beautifully maintained and well furnished. In my room there were even Wedgewood plates on the wall, and they were not screwed down! Mine had ensuite, safe, TV, trouser press and tea and coffee facilties. The door was quite low, and keyhole huge and the key looked as if it came from a different century, which it most likely did. Beautiful breakfast, pleasantly served. In essence, a great place to stay in Chester, if you want everything within walking distance.

We stayed here a single night in September, and wished we had more time. The B&B was very convenient to the cathedral and center of town, and to an excellent pub - always a plus, especially at the end of a long and stressful day traveling (we missed a connection, and getting from Chipping Campden to Chester ain't easy) followed by an early morning. Our room was clean and quite; loved the four poster bed and the gaps at the top and bottom of the door. Our host was very gracious and patient with two frazzled travelers. Will definitely stay there again!

This lovely little Bed and Breakfast is 2 minutes walk from the Cathedral and centre of Chester. The location is excellent for visiting shops and sampling the delights of Chester's many eateries and pubs. The room we had was decorated with lovely old solid furniture. There was no bath but the en-suite shower was sufficient for our needs. The bedding and towels were top quality. The people were helpful and welcoming and fat cat Guiness gave the place an extra homely feel. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be able to go again for a child free weeeknd x
