“The best holiday let we have stayed in!”
Reviewed 16 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017

We stayed in Cook's Terrace for the month of August whilst seeing family. The house was perfect, it was beautifully decorated and very handy for getting into town. Caroline was an excellent host, she answered all queries promptly and gave some great suggestions for what to do in the area. We cannot recommend this house highly enough and can't wait to come back.

“Absolutely excellent”

We could not have made a better choice for our stay in Chester. A much better option for our family compared to a hotel in terms of price, location and feeling at ease.

The house and the proximity to the city centre as well as the lovely canals could not be faulted. The house is in fine order and as soon as I walked in I knew my wife would not only enjoy our week there but want to buy it.

The owner was very responsive to any questions we had before arriving and the house was set up perfectly for us.

When we next head to Chester we are hoping to book Cook's Terrace again.

we stayed for a week in mid may and house and its location were perfect. it only takes 10-15 minutes to stroll into town along the canal where there is an abundance of shops bars and restaurants. the house is clean and comfortable with everything you need and the welcome basket and bottle of prosecco in the fridge was a nice touch.we loved chester zoo which is only a few miles outside town and managed to spend most of the day there. we spent a couple of days in liverpool as there is so many things to do and although we had a car decided to take the train. a return ticket after 9.30am coming back anytime cost £5.10 and for an extra 10p (yes 10p) you can use the buses in liverpool and it also includes a ferry trip across the mersey. thank you caroline for providing our home from home for a week.

“Perfect!”
Reviewed 28 March 2017 for a stay in February 2017

Such a delightful house in a very convenient location near Chester City Centre. Just a short stroll to the canal towpath and on to the City Walls, City Centre and Racecourse. We walked everywhere - didn't need the car at all.
The house is spacious and beautifully presented both inside and out. We had some good weather and sat under the covered area in the courtyard (a real suntrap) which was a great place to enjoy a glass of wine and browse through the tremendous selection of interesting books. The house itself is delightful. A very well stocked kitchen, separate utility room and 2 bathrooms in addition to 3 tastefully decorated bedrooms with super comfortable beds. The spacious dining room and sitting room just added to the charm and comfort of our stay.
Communication with the owners was first rate and the provision of a welcome basket of goodies was very much appreciated by us all.
We cannot recommend this lovely property highly enough. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

“Mini Break”
Reviewed 10 January 2017 for a stay in January 2017

This was a lovely holiday rental, a home from home. It was very comfortable, warm and well equipped for a family of 5.
It is in a great location for Chester City Centre, Chester Zoo, Blue Planet Aquarium which we visited.
The only slight criticism is that it would be nice if one of the double bedrooms had twin beds rather than a double but we managed ok.
Would stay here again.
