Great selection of standard beers and a number of ales, all available on draught. They are offering food, but we didn't take any. The interior is very charming and giving a very warm atmosphere.

Brilliant atmosphere by the canal in Chester. Excellent food, range of beers and a pub atmosphere - all good.

Hadn't been here in a few years but was glad we returned! 10 of us were out for lunch and we all enjoyed OHA.

Good beer selection (including stuff brewed by the pub) was complemented by great food. I had a beef, mushroom and red wine suet pudding. Absolutely wonderful and accompanied by mustard mash and red cabbage. Would have ate it twice.

Others enjoyed kedgeree and a poached eggs, fish and chips, burgers, and pulled pork. I won with the suet pudding.

We came here for a few drinks as our hotel staff had suggested we visit the Indian next door for a meal. But they also mentioned that this place was a great place to stop over for drinks first. We we're certainly not disappointed, there was no music but the place was buzzing. The atmosphere and the ambience in here was warm and welcoming the people too we're very friendly. And the wide array of ale's beers and drinks they had on offer we're simply too much to choose from. Would certainly recommend this place to any one who was visiting Chester.

We stopped off for an afternoon drink on the way back to our hotel.
It was a lovely traditional and very welcoming pub with old wooden floors and tables.
Plenty of room to sit - we noticed though that every table was reserved for evening meals with a time and name so must be very popular for food in the evenings.
Would definetley visit again and book for food.
