We were recomended this restaurant by the Grosvenor hotel as their Simon Radley resaurant was fully booked. They said it was special but I would call it ordinary and more like a pub dining room than a restaurant. We were asked to be seated upstairs whilst we chose from the menu and had a drink. The menu is explained very well by the staff. All staff were polite and friendly. There was a man sat on a stool at the bar eating which we thought was strange for a restaurant. We then went downstairs (not upstairs???) to eat. The front door was open and it was cold and draughty. I wore a dress but jeans would have been more suitable attire. The tables were too close together and felt like you were in a school refectory not a classy restaurant. The steak was nice and portions were big, but i've had better. We didnt have desert we wanted to go to find somewhere warmer and more comfortable. I think our expectations were too high and if you want to go for a casual meal and enjoy a steak then this place is ok.
