Some things to point out this has a small car park not fully suited to an 8 bedroomed property. That said you can park on the road. We arrived lunchtime but got advised to come back later to collect keys. We did just that but to our astonishment nobody was in to answer the door. We had to knock at the door of another place who offered us use of there telephone. Lavender Lodge is ok a place to stay but I have stayed in better for a more competitive price. Lots of other choices on Hoole Road. I will not be rushing back here.

We stayed at Lavender Lodge for three nights and would recommend it to anyone. It is one of the cleanest b&b's we have ever stayed in and is so comortable and friendly. The full breakfast is recommended, but there is also a good choice of more healthy foods. The proprieter Frederika and staff make you feel very welcome. Once you have parked the car you can forget it while you are there. Chester is only 15 minuets walk, or there is a handy bus service and there are plenty of places to go for a night out and an evening meal in Hoole.

As you brush gently by lavender in the well tended garden, you realise you are entering a calm, tranquil, welcoming privately owned and cared for hotel. The owner tends the hotel as if her home and you're a special guest. Rooms are good size, sumptuously furnished, elegant and as well stocked as any country house hotel. Set back from the main road, with ample parking, in a busy traditional Victorian village. Opposite the C/E church and park, tennis courts and bowls, if you wish to linger. Close to the motorways and easy access to all Chester amenities, if you can't linger. Delicious breakfast and special gluten free/dairy free diet catered for. So good, I stayed for a month!

I have just been to stay at Lavender Lodge as I was coming to Chester for a job interview and I was welcomed by Frederika in the warmest manner and she continued to be friendly throughout my stay. She always remembered where I had been and remembered to ask me how my day had been. The breakfast was absolutely superb with an alternative to a fry up available, nicest fresh fruit and yogurt. I would highly recommend staying here as it the cleanest place I have ever stayed, even rivalling 5 star hotels!

We stayed here to visit Chester. The B&B was lovely, really nice room and a lovely freshly cooked breakfast, good choice for a vegetarian too. Really friend people as well.

A great location just a short bus ride or drive into Chester. The area around the B&B is also great for eating, we ate at the local chinese the first night which was very good. We had booked the local Bistro for Saturday night, good job as they were turning people away. We had an excellant meal there.

I would definately good back to the Lavender Lodge if I wanted to stay in the area.
