We have stayed here a couple of times in the last few years and have always been very happy with our visits. It might not suit everyone, being rather quirky, but that's exactly why we like it.
The rooms are a good size, comfortable and very clean with excellent stylish bathrooms. The furniture (but not the comfy beds) is decidedly retro and someone has gone to a lot of bother to source the 1960's-70's pieces which some people might not like, but we really do.
The atmosphere is decidedly chilled out, and the staff are very relaxed and friendly. The breakfasts have to be one of the best things about the Townhouse - lots of choice and excellent quality that would be very hard to beat.
If you like typical commercial chain hotels with efficient but deadly dull staff then this place is definitely not for you - but it's definitely the place for us.
Thanks again Townhouse!

Room Tip: Rooms at the front can be a little noisy when people leave the popular bar downstairs.

We couldnt check into our room until exactally 3pm, rooms are average but clean, breakfast is nice however takes about 30-40 minutes to arrive, excellent location just seconds walk from the town. I would reccomend but room only.

Found The Falmouth Townhouse on Trip Advisor and liked the sound of the quirkiness! This small hotel lived up to the good reviews and I think the people who thought it shabby etc are being very harsh!
The bedroom (no.10) was on the top floor but had an enormous double bed, very comfortyable, an en suite with bath and wet-room style vast shower, flat screen TV and 2 easy chairs. All very clean, spacious. Slight annoyance was the water noise from the roof and the rattling window - the first I slept through and the latter was sorted with my newspaper jammed in it!
Downstairs is more of a student union bar but with a great selection of whiskies and beers and pleasant staff. Breakfast was fine - didn't go for the more interesting items on the menu which looks very tempting. They also serve a midday brunch - though I was away by then.
Position is perfect for a stay in Falmouth - close to the main high street, lots of eateries, the maritime museum and so much more.
Go &b stay here - if you want somewhere a little different you won't be disappointed

The reception area was a bit shabby which was an initial concern, but the rooms where actually really nice, and a little quirky. The staff at the hotel are all extremly friendly and willing. Great litte bar. Had room at front and the traffic got a little noisy in the morning, but that was only complaint really. The breakfast was top notch. Hotel in a very central location with limited parking. All in all a good place and I would stay there again.
