Stayed in the townhouse for a night, really cool place in the centre of Falmouth. It's really well decorated with a sort of retro modern British Scandinavia feel. Lots of cool artwork and furniture throughout the hotel. Our room was large with great decor, big tv big bed great view.
Really friendly and helpful staff on the main desk in th restaurant that served us breakfast , which was very tasty and had lots of choices which was included in our nights stay and also in the bar which was nice and relaxed and serves really good cocktails especially the old fashioned!

Would defo return as not only was it cool and comfortable but a great price and just opposite lots of shops and restaurants.

The hotel and our room is located opposite a busy car park, there's a bar next door, it was a warm night, our window was open and drinkers sat outside so you can guess the rest. Most of the noise is beyond the control of the hotel but its there. The place is clean (pity about the discarded roll up cigarettes on the entrance steps) our room was big (did not like the tatty retro-like furniture it spoilt the look of the room, the genuine retro pieces worked) the ultra modern bathroom was excellent but the bath taps to the very trendy bath need looking at, we could not turn the cold on. All in all not a bad place but for us sleep is paramount.

Room Tip: Any room with a glimpse of the water means it'll be noisy,

I recently went to the townhouse to have breakfast on a Saturday, we were the only ones there so huge service was very fast. The pancakes were hot, the bacon wasn't fatty and was cooked as we requested it. The eggs benedict was gorgeous and was VERY impressed about the price of the tea!! Just £2.00 for a great big teapot. Lovely waitresses who were kind and wanted to meet the needs of the customer. Highly recommended and beautiful to sit outside and watch the world go by on a sunny day. Will probably be returning for drinks one night with my friends.

I've always been a fan of Townhouse for drinks and when visiting Falmouth, decided I'd try it as accommodation. The positives first.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was (unlike others have said), for me, quick and absolutely delicious (English breakfast one morning, pancakes another... though I would suggest, despite the menu description, these are *not* "American" pancakes. Not fluffy. But tasty.) The location is, of course, unbeatable. 5 minute walk to the sea, right in the middle of town, 3 minutes to the train station.

On to the negative... I stayed in the bedroom at the top of the stairs, to the right. It overlooked the beer garden which wasn't much to write home about, but that wasn't the problem. The room looks like it's had severe roof damage from leaking, and the owners haven't bothered to address this. At all. See photos. Paint is peeling and looks quite manky all over the walls, with stains everywhere you looked. The writing table had two chairs, and as I was on a working holiday, it was kind of crucial I had somewhere to sit and work. One chair had loose screws so felt like it was going to collapse at any moment. The other chair had a brown (ew) stain right down the middle. The bathroom was lovely and new, but there were giant spiders everywhere. And it looked like it hadn't been PROPERLY cleaned (not just a superficial once-over) in 6 months.

Probably the worst bit was that this place lacks any real sound-proofing from the bar downstairs, and while it is a BAR and not a hotel by any means, consideration for the guests paying quite hefty fees for a room should be made. Worst of the worst was the constant (I mean, every 5-10 seconds) of a very LOUD slamming/banging door right below me. I assume this is the kitchen or back office, but it was incredibly annoying, going on all day until well after closing time. It felt like the guests paying for rooms were a huge afterthought, and if that's the case, I wonder why they don't focus on making a bigger bar and forget about the rooms?

The furniture is not so much shabby chic as, well, the other sh-word chic. Nothing matched, and it all looked like random old junk picked up at car boot sales.

I'd come back for cocktails. I wouldn't come back to stay. The Grove is a much more comfortable place for sleeping and relaxing, one door down. Sorry guys.

Fantastic stay at the Falmouth Townhouse for a friend's wedding. The staff were extremely accommodating and kept the bar open so that a proper send off could be given for the groom. Superb location and I cannot recommend enough the poached eggs...Oh and the margaritas...first class. Thanks to Paul and his team for looking after a demanding group over the bank holiday weekend ; ) Keep it up guys!!

I stayed here for nights, and have to say the team are great. Very friendly and engaging, happy to chat and offer opinions about the drinks etc.
The rooms themselves are nice and comfy, I have to agree with a previous review about some of the paint work needing looking at, obviously had water damage at one point, but there's no mould or anything to affect your stay, so I guess it all adds to the character. The bar is great, as is the breakfast room, the biggest issue are the communal areas, carpets that are threadbare and tatty decoration. Again though you don't sleep in the corridors, but they might do better to rip up the carpets and just sand the boards... This would be in keeping then with the rest go the building, but I'm sure someone would moan about the noise.

Overall an interesting place to stay overlooking the marina.

Went in for breakfast with friends and had a terrible experience. The food was extremely late, had not been properly cooked and much of the order was incorrect. On top of that staff made no effort to apologise for our poor experience and had an attitude when we complained. With all the fantastic, hospitable places there are in Falmouth would advise you don't waste your money or time in this place.
