Whilst camping in a soggy Cornwall it was my 50th Birthday and so we decamped to Avalon for some quiet luxury. We got it in spades. This was a lovely place to be.
Gail and Arthur took great care of us. The weather improved and we settled in for 2 extra nights. A comfortable bed and all nice little touches improved our stay no end. The downstairs rooms are accessed by French doors and there are small tables outside from where you can observe the beach. Every afternoon there is something beautifully baked for afternoon tea and a bottomless coffee pot.
Its difficult to describe how much we enjoyed staying here and how comfortable Gail makes you feel.
Breakfast was superb and Arthur is a fantastic scrambled egg cook.
Normally in the mornings i dont have a lot to say , yet the atmosphere here promotes the making of new chums if only to discuss recommended places to go that day.
My 50th was made relatively painless with gail leaving out 2 champagne flutes when she saw the bottle , so the day was finished with a glass of Frances finest in the moonlight listening to the waves.
Absolutely stunning. These people know how to run a small hotel.

My husband, I and our little boy (19 month) stayed for 5 days in this beautiful guest house. We had a nice, very clean room with modern bath room and enjoyed every day the exceptional breakfast and every afternoon the delicious home-made cakes. The overall atmosphere was very pleasant and child-friendly. We can recommend this place for everyone looking for a relaxed stay in a quiet surrounding next to the beach. The guest house is very close to 2 beautiful gardens - Glendurgan garden and Trebah garden which we can also recommend to visit.

We stayed for over a week, enjoying the tranquil atmosphere, the wonderful location - situated almost directly on the beach and the Coastal Path, our utmost comfortable, nice and clean room, very helpful and friendly hosts, homemade cooking (including a lovely breakfast with a lot to choose from and delicious cakes for tea). This was a perfect base for our holiday in Cornwall, just a short ride away from a great number of interesting sights and activities. The nearest restaurant was excellent, and there were also several other very good inns and restaurants in walking distance from the hotel, including Falmouth - which can be reached in about an hour of easy walking along the scenic Coastal Path. We hope to come back to Avalon Guest House some time soon, and highly recommends this guest house to other visitors, both families and others.

If you want a quiet holiday, 30 metres from a beautiful cove and beach with homemade meals and especially afternoon teas, this is the place. Even with rain and mist you can visit gardens nearby, walk the coastal path as it passes 20 metres from the door or just sit on your terrace and enjoy the scenery.

A lovely guest house with friendly hosts. Very clean rooms and modern showers. The view from our room was fantastic, a lovely Cornish cove. The breakfast in the morning was first class as well. There is a nearby bar which although a tad expensive is a good place to relax to while watching the sea
