So i stayed here a while back (when i cam to look round the University in Falmouth), now living here i recommend it to all my friends when their parents come down to stay!

The location is perfect - close to the town but far away enough to have a nice peaceful sleep (not that Falmouth is the liveliest place ever!) You'll also be very close to Gylly Beach, it's so beautiful, even in winter would you believe! You can sit in the very nice café (However, i don't really like the term café, it gives impressions of a greasy spoon, when infact Gylly is very chic and cosmo) and watch the surfers and swimmers etc.. You're also very close to the coastal path, which is a lovely walk that takes about 1.5-2 hours. Take a picnic as there's some lovely beaches to relax on mid walk.

The hotel itself if wonderful! The lady who owns it makes you feel like family, so welcoming and warm. The decor is very kind antwacky in a good way! It's traditional and comfortable.
Now for the best bit - The breakfast!! They should allow non-guests to stay as I've not managed to find a nice one yet!

You will NOT regret staying here :)

We live in Cornwall but wanted to spend the night in Falmouth, meal and drinks didn't want to drive home etc so booked a room online (which was very easy). The hotel was easy to find and parking wasn't a problem. A lovely welcome from the owner who's very knowledgeable about the area. Fantastic room, very warm, clean and well presented plus a sea view.

Breakfast was great everything you could want and in anyway you wanted it. Staff very happy, polite and helpful.

Room Tip: Room 2, double superior, very nice.

Just stayed 4 days at the Rosemullion, received a very friendly welcome on arrival. Staff and owner Gail were very accomodating.
Rooms were very clean with really comfy beds, breakfast was cooked fresh from our order, with a good selection to choose from.
We had a room with a sea view and the beach is only a 5 minute walk down the road.
I would highly recommend the Rosemullion to other travelers on their trips to Falmouth and would book to stay again next time I go to Falmouth.

went to falmouth to see comedin john shuttleworth perform at the princess pavillion, which as it turned out is only a couple of minutes on the same road, bonus.

Gail was so welcoming, and helpful, as were all the staff.

the whole place is spotless and well maintained, we had a lovely room, my partner and i had a great stay.

the breakfast is superb, and the waiting staff a joy.

i shall use the rosemullion again, in fact i'll look for excuses to return, bravo gail and co.

We spent just 24 hours in Falmouth for a family wedding and we both wished we had longer to enjoy this hotel and its' fabulous location. We had been driving since 3am and arrived at the hotel at 10 am-Not only were we allowed to check in early, we were also offered coffee and toast despite missing breakfast (we must have looked very tired!!). We were also offered a choice of two rooms-we chose room two as it had a sea view, and was a lovely pretty homely room. The bed was very comfortable, the room quiet and warm and spotlessly clean. Very nice en-suite with great power shower, If you are into all things twee then this is ideal. Lovely soft furnishings, soft lighting and deep immaculate carpets. Breakfast was cooked very well-a full English eaten in a quaint wood-paneled dining room. Superb lounge for guests with beautifully paneled wall-papered walls, classic seating, window seat, chess and local info found within. We would definitely come back, excellent value for money and a real homely welcoming place. Thank you.

I have stayed at the Rosemullion three times (my daughter just started at University of Exeter) and I would not stay anywhere else. The owner cannot do enough for you and makes you feel like you are part of an extended family. The rooms are pristeen, quiet and well decorated and some have wonderful views of the water. The location could not be better as it is just a walk into town and the beach is minutes away. The staff who serve breakfast and clean the rooms are extremely helpful and work hard to please. My cousin who ate breakfast daily gave it rave reviews. You get all this for an extremely reasonable price. This is a real find!!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Charming, tranquil, convenient and full of character: Rosemullion is one of Falmouth’s most attractive guest residences. A stone’s throw from Gyllyngvase Beach and a short walk from the station, events square and the town centre, Rosemullion is an ideal choice for both a holiday in Falmouth or a short business or university-related stay. Built as a gentleman's residence in the late 19th century, Rosemullion will leave a strong impression on you. We pride ourselves on the convivial yet peaceful atmosphere we have created; recognising, for example, that not everyone wants to be disturbed by the sound of small children or noise from a bar. That's why we do not cater for young children or have a bar of our own. Our emphasis is on that rarest of commodities in today's world – peace. We look forward to sharing it with you. ... more   less
