My daughter and I spent a wonderful night at St Michaels. We loved the decor and style and found everyone to be extremely warm and friendly. Our room in the Captain's House was clean and comfortable and we loved the outdoor area and the view. Dinner and breakfast were amazing, we don't eat meat so avoided the hot buffet and ordered alternatives which were prompt and at no extra cost. The area beyond the hotel is great- my daughter was intrigued by the twisted tree in the grounds and we enjoyed Queen Mary's park and the beach which are so close! Can't wait to go back - what's not to love about St Michael's?

Room Tip: Beware the Captain's House is a separate building- some people might not Iike this!

After having had a dreadful experience at the nearby Garden Room at the Princess Pavillions, this hotel restored my faith in local trade. The staff, particularly Barbara in the restaurant, were friendly and accommodating. The food was wonderfully cooked, local produce and the attention to detail was second to none. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel, it's staff, the food and the general ambience.

Ok, to be frankly honest, we were amazed by the friendly kind atmosphere of the hotel and especially the restaurant. The room was very large and very peaceful. Perfect for a romantic anniversary celebration. The views were stunning and worth the visit. The restaruant matre d was very attentive and accommodated is so well. You must visit this hotel even for one night. Oh and make use of the spa!!! Thank you all so much at the hotel

First Impressions: charming, quant cottage style hotel with great views of the marina but limited parking

Room was small (single bed) but cosy and with lovely views and all the amenities you would expect. Room service was prompt and food quality and presentation was everything I expected. The bar area downstairs is stunningly done with great views but gets busy.
The pool, sauna and steam rooms are pleasant and nice to have use of

Bad points: Took a while to check in, service could have been friendlier, there are no dressing robes which is very strange in a spa hotel

Went there with a friend for a spa day that I have been given a voucher for for my 30th birthday. We were greeted by a friendly girl on the desk who was nothing but helpful. We spent our free time relaxing in the pool, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. We also made use of the loungers outside as it was such lovely weather. We experienced 2 amazingly relaxing treatments throughout the day as well as a lovely, filling 2 course lunch in the sea facing restaurant. There is also a lovely "relaxation" room which we took advantage of to enjoy a cup of tea and a lie down.
We both left feeling relaxed and refreshed and will definitely be going back in the future. All staff were extremely helpful and we couldn't fault anything about the day :-)

Had such a wonderful time here. Unfortunately, we weren't blessed with good weather, so spent the whole time indoors. However, that wasn't necessarily a bad thing because it meant we made the most of all the hotel has to offer. The spa itself is fabulous, and we spent many happy hours relaxing in the hot tub, sauna and pool. Would love to return when I'm next in Cornwall.
