“A Very Pleasant Stay”
Reviewed 17 April 2012

I stayed here recently while on a road trip with my Dad. The lady behind reception on arrival was incredibly friendly and helpful and happy to give advice on the area and call for cabs.
The hotel was very clean and well presented including the well sized rooms. Breakfast was very pleasant and what I saw if the gym and pool facilities all looked very good. Even the wedding reception on the second night did not interrupt my sleep.
It is well located for pubs and restaurants without being in the middle of things.
I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Green Lawns for one night in March 2012. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room were spacious and clean. We had a room on the 2nd floor which had a double bed plus an extra single bed - it also had a dual aspect and a balcony. It had very steep stairs to get up to it which would not have been suitable for those less agile. The biggest problem was a very saggy mattress and a very weak shower. We did let the receptionist know this as we left and were told that the shower was weak at certain times of the day when other people are showering. There is a swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi on the ground floor which was nice to have but were all very tired. The breakfast was very good with a choice of a huge cooked breakfast (either meat or vegetarian), cereals, fruit, toast and jam, croissants etc. It was a 10-15 minute walk into Falmouth. Overall it was a good value for money hotel but it was a shame about the mattress and shower.

Room Tip: Ask for one with a decent mattress and shower!

We have just returned from attending a wedding at Green Lawns, both my wife and myself had a wonderful three days at the hotel. from arriving to leaving we found all the staff to be very professional at their respective jobs. I have to point out how good the younger members of staff were which is a complement to the people training them. The hotel is set in lovely grounds and the public rooms are of a very high standard. Our bedroom was much bigger than I expected and very clean. I must comment that our bathroom was in need of a little TLC but that is only a minor point.

The restaurant was first class, the breakfast was wonderful. The wedding breakfast was of an equally high standard and enjoyed by all. We used the leisure facilities which are fine and clean.

All in all I would have no hesitation in returning and recommending Green Lawns and complementing Neil the manager and all his staff.

We stayed at the hotel for one night. The bedroom was quiet, spacious with 6' bed, modern decor & was very clean. Plenty of wardrobe space, drawers etc. Smallish bathroom but spotlessly clean with lovely fluffy white towels! We had dinner at the hotel which was absolutely delicious! Food was well presented, with lots of choice. The quality of the meal was extremely good - we could only manage two courses, unfortunately as the dessert menu looked exciting!
Breakfast was a very comfortable & relaxed affair offering everything you could want. We had fresh fruit followed by full English! The staff were very helpful & friendly throughout our short stay. We did have a swim in the pool & a 'go' on the fitness equipment in the small gym- a lovely way to unwind before dinner!

A wonderful hotel. The rooms are really comfortable and the standard of cleanliness was first class. The food was excellent.
All the staff I met were very friendly and made me feel really welcome.
I was even able to take my dog which was really good. All the staff made a fuss of the dog too.
I had a brilliant time and will definitly stay there again.
It is in a good location about 10 minutes to the beach and the town centre. Wonderful not to have to drive anywhere.
Would definitly reccomend this hotel.

This hotel offered good value for money . we did not experience the restaurant and opted for room service instead which was delivered with a smile( despite the very steep and narrow stairs to negotiate) by two members of staff.. The standard of food was 1st class . I would recommend this hotel as the room was warm and cosy and we slept well. As we had a little bit of work to do before leaving in the morning we sat in the lovely lounge area next to the open fireplace which I will bet looks lovely in the evenings . After a few minutes the manager offered us free tea and coffee a lovely gesture. I would stay here again if in the area.

Room Tip: higher floors have very steep steps which are a challenge

We have been traveling the USA, Canada and UK for 9 weeks, so have had some experiences with accommodation. This was up there with the best, lovely room, clean and quiet, excellent service and food in the restaurant and the staff more than helpful with any request. Location is perfect, close to city centre. Cant recommend it highly enough.
