Stayed for one night on our way to Lizard. Booked the room thro' a cheapo-type website. Had an amazing room, well equipped and appointed. Price for the type of room was excellent value. Not sure what we would have paid had we booked direct with the hotel.

Breakfast was very enjoyable and the fish on offer, (smoked haddock or kippers) made a lovely change from a fry-up.

We would stay again if in the area.

I stayed here recently as I was attending a charity ball. I use the hotel regularly to swim & for business but had not stayed for a while. Thrilled to be upgraded to the master suite, lovely touch which much appreciated! Service is always excellent, friendly & helpful. Love the way breakfast is set up on an antique table, rustic charm! Also love the fact that the owners are present & muck in! Will be back soonest!

We stayed at Merchants Manor for two nights on a glorious weekend end of June 2014. The restaurant area is ideal for relaxed breakfast atmosphere with good choice from the help yourself area and really nice cooked breakfast from the kitchen.

The gym has up to date equipment and compliments well alongside the pool. The Lounge area provides a really relaxed atmosphere and we also took advantage of the garden seating/tables to enjoy a drink whilst absorbing the sun. The Roast dinner on Sunday had excellent quality beef cooked to perfection.

Overall this is a hotel which provides opportunity to relax and its close proximity to the centre and beaches is ideal.

We stayed here for our honeymoon 20 years ago and have now been back after 5 years, 10 years and 20 years to the same room 3 which is the honey room suite,. The bedroom is lovely with 4 poster bed, sunken bath and view over harbour (see picture). Staff brilliant and breakfast lovely. See you in another 5 years :-).

Room Tip: Room 3 is only room for me.

Had an impromptu stay at this lovely hotel. From the moment of check in the staff were absolutely amazing, (all staff) nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was very clean and spacious, bed was very comfortable, tea and coffee facilities were just perfect,(with proper big mugs). Had a very comfortable nights rest. The only criticism of the room was that the shower was not very powerful, but all in all this is a minor problem. Breakfast was amazing and again staff on the ball and attentive. Now normally I train whilst away and usually a hotel gym will consist of a treadmill and a couple of old bikes. WOW !!! The gym here is fully equipped with everything you would need, even a smith machine plenty of cardio and free weights on offer as well as brand new resistance training machines, guys?gals if you are serious about training this gym will suit. The pool is fairly small but again will suffice as a lovely means to cool down and relax and have some fun. A fabulous hotel to stay with the main town about a 25 min walk. Claire (reception) thank you and we will see you all again soon.
