After having are previously booked holiday plans in Italy cancelled suddenly, we were a little apprehensive at being able to find a room for 3 nights at a hotel in the Falmouth area on a busy weekend in June at very short notice. Within an hour of seeing this delightful property and being greeted warmly by Sharon on reception and Dave the bartender we booked for a total of 9 nights. It is the staff that help make this hotel as special as it is. Emma, Gaye, Rita and Sharon were so helpful, Dave was a wonderful source of local knowledge, Conrad and his dining room crew helped make each meal an enjoyable dining experience. The locally sourced food prepared so well by Wayne and his crew was always delicious. Then you have the beautiful 9 acre gardens where you can sit and listen to the birds or have a deliciously prepared lunch or Cornish cream tea. There is a very pleasant 15 minute walk through the gardens down to Bream Cove.
The only minor negative we found was the poor water pressure in our shower (Room 53) on the top floor. Can not end this review without mentioning the 2 charming young ladies who cleaned our room everyday with lovely smiles and a cheery good morning! This hotel was without a doubt one of the nicest we have ever stayed in and we hope to return one day.More
