“Comfortable working stay”
Reviewed 1 May 2014

Really enjoyed the stay, the rooms were quiet and very comfortable, Mark and Simon were incredibly good hosts and very helpful. We were working in the area and level of service and comfort made for an enjoyable stay.

Mark and Simon are incredibly accommodating in their beautiful B&B, and ultimately their home.

Upon arrival you are offered tea, coffee, or a sherry! The B&B has been decorated to perfection. It feels fresh, modern and with a touch of a seaside feel to it. The beds are of hotel quality, and the breakfast is served just how you like it.

Camelot has an excellent location - close to the beach, train station, pubs/restaurants, and castle. Also, they are all within walking distance.

I will definitely be staying here again the next time I come to Cornwall.

Had a brilliant, relaxing and luxurious stay at the super smart Camelot, lovely spacious room with views over the garden and the valley beyond. Perfect location as a very easy stroll in to Falmouth to try out all the town has to offer, or turn right to cross over down to the beach for lovely walks.

Impressive facilities in room with bottled water, tea coffee and really enjoyed the hot chocolate. Delicious breakfast served with style , very full English and yummy scrambled eggs !

Enjoyed the hospitality so much that I was tempted to stay on for an extra night , hosts could not have been more welcoming and managed to accomodate my last minute change of plans, thank you for a fantastic short break I will be back !!

Room Tip: My raised ground floor room had great views over the garden to the valley beyond , tranquil and priv...

‘In short, there’s simply not
A more congenial spot
For happily-ever-aftering
Than here in Camelot !’

King Arthur, Camelot

Oh how right King Arthur was !

I can’t begin to tell you how much I loved staying at this marvellous B&B. Its honestly gorgeous, perfectly located, and truly lives up to its legendary name.

The new owners Simon (Sir Tremendous) and Mark (Count Mark Brackley) are incredibly warm and welcoming and have put so much thought into every aspect of their ‘castle’ that you can’t help but be delighted. I had a quick look at some of the guest rooms which have all been stylishly refurbished to perfection with accent cushions and whiter-than-white Egyptian cotton bedding… spotlessly clean. Fancy a sherry on arrival from an ancient crystal bottle?…Why not !…There’s tea and coffee facilities in your room, lovely amenities and even bottled water by your bedside. English breakfast is just as it should be – deliciously hot with 'the lot’ and even served via a dumbwaiter. There’s a beautiful English garden to either gaze upon or to cavort in with Camelot's 2 lovely guard dogs - gleaming black labrador puppies ! I stayed in the Junior Suite downstairs overlooking the garden - sumptuous ! I'll be back !! 10/10.

Only stayed for one night as we decided to visit Falmouth for a day, we were staying in Padstow on holiday. What a fantastic bed and breakfast. From the moment you walked in the door we were made to feel so welcome. Simon and Mark are fantastic hosts. We had the bedroom on the ground floor and it is just so beautiful. Large spacious room and a lovely en suite. Beautifully decorated, the bed probably the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Breakfast is huge all with locally sourced sausages and bacon, even the eggs come from a local farm. This B and B is a jewel and we were only sorry we stayed for only one night. Definitely will be back.

Dear Annette and Richard,

It was so good to see you again and I'm really pleased you had such a good time, albeit for only one night this time. There are so many more places we want to show you so you'll have to come for at least a week next time!

Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review, it's very much appreciated and we're pleased you enjoyed your stay so much.

Camelot is in a great location - only less than 10 minutes walk to the university, beach and lovely cafes and restaurants. We really enjoyed our 2 night stay in this very stylish and clean bed and breakfast. Wonderful white crisp bed linen and comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast served with a smile by the very helpful Mark and Simon. Thank you both very much and looking forward to many more visits. Pauline & Zoe.
