The owners were friendly and helpful and the B&B was spotlessly clean, after a recent thorough renovation. Some really good points, such as real ground coffee in the room.

We stayed in mid July in fine warm weather. The duvet was heavy winter weight and although we asked for a lighter cover none was available. This made it quite difficult to sleep.

We were unimpressed with the breakfast service, not much notice taken of new arrivals for breakfast and silly points such as milk not put out for self service along with cereals.

It would be easy to rectify these points and I hope the owners will do so.

Room Tip: It's on quite a busy road, if you have windows open in summer it would be noticeable at the front.

In response to your review, I am glad that you thought the house was spotlessly clean and you enjoyed the filter coffee , however I am amazed at your other comments, which clearly shows either ignorance or a lack of knowledge of the hotel or hospitality trade I would like to remind you that due to the extremely hot weather you requested a double sheet as an alternative for the quilt, this was supplied to your husband in your room within 5 minutes of your request, maybe he forgot to tell you and it got left on the side in your room , as when I took it to your room he stated that the fan in the bathroom had switched on and continued to run without you doing anything, on closer investigation he admitted this had happened, as it should do, after switching on and off the bathroom light.
As regards the breakfast situation, everyone is greeted by ourselves and guided, if needed, to the cereal and buffet areas and asked whether tea or coffee or any other hot beverage is required, and that this and your own jug of fresh cold milk will be delivered to your table. We feel that this means that the milk you receive, especially in the hot weather, is lovely and cold and not luke warm if it was left out on a buffet table. We always welcome and take on board ideas that might help to improve our guests experience but on this occasion we will not be taking on your suggestion as the majority of our guests seem to like things as they are.

The Falmouth Bay has been completely refurbished, so everything is new and modern and spotlessly clean. The bed was really comfortable and the room was well equipped with TV, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities that included real coffee and a cafetiere. The dining room is bright and airy, with plenty of choice for breakfast, both hot and cold and there's a comfortable guest lounge, with a sea view from the bay window. It was an easy downhill walk into town and the Falmouth shuttle bus stops close by for those who need it. The onsite parking is an added bonus. Andy and Jenny are friendly and welcoming and we are happy to recommend their beautiful home.

Lovely, spotless B&B with very helpful and friendly owners. Any and all unusual dietary requirements are sympathetically listened to and catered for. Well decorated rooms; comfy beds; good TV, tea and coffee.

Room Tip: We had the second floor room involving two flights of stairs, so if stairs are a problem ask for the lower level.

When I have a few minutes I will try to e.mail you with the recipes, as promised.

Excellent value for money guest house. Newly refurbished. Fantastic well equipped rooms, spotlessly clean, great breakfast and lovely owners. It's about a 15 minute walk into the centre. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Falmouth Bay. The owners, Andy and Jenny, were friendly and helpful. Our room on the top floor, like the rest of the guesthouse, was clean, comfortable and well decorated. At breakfast there was plenty of choice and the cooked breakfasts, in particular, were very good. There was off-road parking for the guests, so we were able to leave the car and get around the local area by foot, ferry and bus. The town centre is only a short walk away – but it is uphill on the way back. There are plenty of good cafes and restaurants in Falmouth and we found it an excellent base for walking and visiting nearby gardens such as Glendurgan. We’d certainly return to the Falmouth Bay in order to explore more of this very attractive part of Cornwall.

Room Tip: Stunning sea views from front-facing bedrooms
