Good home cooking and local produce including the rather wonderful local ice cream. Absolutely classic national Trust in every way. They had put up a canvas side to the barn restaurant this year which made a good 'inside' or 'outside' sitting option which was a welcome development in late summer insect time! Good soup. Small portions on the cooked meals but good quality.
