This garden has been part of my life for many years. It is welcoming in all weathers and has a good variety of planting. The tropical plants are a source of interest and the local schools compete in planting a large flower bed each. This is a splendid idea as it encourages these young people to appreciate the trouble this takes and to value this effort. During term time some students often strew the grassed area with litter and this is shameful. The garden is never closed and these rare plants are rarely stolen or vandalised. For this I am very grateful. It's a quiet, restful haven and one can enjoy being so close to the sea without the noise and movement on the beach. Please respect this lovely area.

These gardens are now over 100 years old with free entry all year round and access for dog walking on leads.
The gardens are also well maintained all year round by a small team of council workmen and each May local school children come and plant out a flower bed for each local school.

Living in the area we walk through the gardens after having a stroll along the beach, or promenade depending upon the weather. The gardens are kept very tidy and are at their best from May onwards.

Not a large garden but quite nice. Even though we visited in September a lot of flowers were blooming. This is more formal than some of the other Cornwall gardens but worth a visit if you are in Falmouth. The flower beds were interesting in part because they were varied with several different pallets of color.
