Sunday lunch carvery, excellent food and great atmosphere, does get busy as it is so well known locally and has a great garden area for kids

Excellent freshly cooked food and very pleasant atmosphere in an old/interesting building.
Friendly dogs welcome. Used by the locals but quite hard to find. We came across it by chance when driving from Pendennis Head around Swanpool Beach then inland looking for somewhere to eat (November). Eventually, followed a sign down a steep hill.

Just found this brilliant local! Large lively warm and very friendly pub in an unlikely setting. Good cheap traditional pub food. Very friendly staff and an excellent landlord. Pleasantly busy with lots going on..

Called in here due to it having a Cask Marque certificate. Beer was good and the food was good. Pub is on the outskirts of Falmouth and off the beaten track. Food a tad on the expensive side but there was plenty of it. Would call again if in the area.

We found this pub/restaurant quite by chance when visiting Falmouth on business.Tired and hungry we happened upon it one evening and then returned for the following three evenings. Visually it is a warm and fairly ordinary sort of local but the welcome, service, beer and food was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, the prices were very reasonable. It felt like a home from home and definitely not a plastic pub. The service was personal, attentive and never intrusive. I only wish we had a pub as nice as this nearer to home! It's just outside of Falmouth so a bit off piste but oh so much better for that. We were greeted each evening almost like old friends and we couldn't wait to go out for the evening meal. It was particularly nice to enjoy real home cooked food. It was a real highlight of our trip. If you are down that way, this is one worth finding.
