Gaye was an extremely lovely person, helpful but not intrusive. The house was beautifully decorated with some outstanding contemporary artwork. As far as we could see everything we could require was available in the house plus more. First visit to Falmouth for many years. This time our children and partners, not forgetting our beautiful one year old grandson came too. All my paternal ancestors came from Cornwall. My husband and I have spent many holidays based in Falmouth, some with my late parents. My father was brought up in Falmouth and moved to Scotland after the War when he married his wartime sweetheart. We were only down for a week but visited the Maritime Museum in Events Square and had many dinners in a variety of good restaurants. We also payed visits to the Eden Project, Durgan, Truro Cathedral and spent a day in St. Ives. Altogether a wonderful time was had by all and the ultra comfortable home from home was a bonus.
We have stayed here before, and would book it again. Very high standard of comfort and cleanliness which has been maintained. Great location to explore South West Cornwall

A lovely spacious, comfortable house, with a great view of the harbour. An excellent base for exploring Falmouth and the surrounding area. Everything we needed was on hand. Gaye was very helpful and knowledgeable with her suggestions for places to visit. On street parking is available (although it can be a bit of a squeeze-normal for Cornwall) and handy steps down into the town mean you can leave the car at home and enjoy more of the fabulous view as you take the short walk down into the town (although this is significantly harder on the way back up)! Beautiful cut flowers were provided and scones on arrival, which was a nice touch, and the little extras in the well equipped kitchen were also appreciated. Washer and dryer were a welcome sight as we had already been travelling for several days before we spent our week here in July. We were lucky with the weather but I could imagine staying in this house very comfortably during the winter also. Netflix and the Wii console went down well with the younger members of our group while I enjoyed having my breakfast sitting out back in the small garden with more lovely flowers. All in all, a most enjoyable experience for everyone all round.
We rented Captains Reach as crew accommodation for a sailing regatta. The standard of the accommodation and facilities provided were superb. Gaye and Jeremy went out of their way to help us in any way they could. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property.
What a great house, photo's do not do it justice, it is much bigger than it looks. Handy for Falmouth pubs and restaurants and central for touring anywhere in Cornwall. The weather was sunny and fine but staying here would lovely even if the weather was not. Parking is a small problem as its in the road and I would imagine it is difficult to get a space in high season.
We had a lovely week staying at Captains reach. The weather was variable but didn't stop us enjoying Gylly beach, Falmouth town, a walk around Swanpool beach and trips to Argyll Lakes, St Ives and many lovely walks through the town.
