Our three night break in one of the hotels self catering cottages was both comfortable and a delight. The cottage provides the best of both worlds with a serviced cottage plus room service if required and full use of the hotel spa. However the cottage was well equipped for self catering. A nice touch was the beach furniture. The cottage was very clean and the view across the sea, from the balcony, a delight. Each cottage has a designated parking space which negates any parking stress ! Only one suggestion, our cottage needed a new frying pan, otherwise perfect. A very relaxing break, I suspect we will return.

This hotel was booked at short notice due to problems at another hotel and the reception staff were most helfpul and accomodating one night became 2. Food was very good in lovely surroundings.bar staff were excellent and service was prompt
We had chosen a standard room which was well appointed with a great bathroom lovely bath and walk in shower
The location is breathtaking and a level walk to the town centre
The price was most reasonable
Hotel is a bit tired in places. we did not try the spa so cannot comment on that
No hesitation in recommending this hotel

Room Tip: a sea view would cost more but would be fantastic

I have stayed in this hotel a few times. And recently stayed for two nights in this amazing hotel.
I had planned a surprise stay for my partners birthday. Booking a premier plus room which I highly recommend. It is the most expensive room but is worth the extra money for all the added extras you get :) including a spa bath and massive balcony with stunning views of the sea and gardens.

Prior to the trip I asked the hotel if they could put a ballon and birthday banner in the room, not only did they do this but also gave us a bottle of cava as we'll :) the hotel also informed me that there was a wedding going on during our stay and said the car park may be busy but they offered to reserve us a space. Which they did, which my partner loved! Said he felt like a celebrity! Lol :)

All the staff that we met during our stay we're very helpful and friendly, always smiling and willing to help. The food was amazing cannot fault it! Especially the breakfast! I highly recommend the cooked breakfast with a hot chocolate! :)

The views from the balcony are amazing and are certainly a big reason for staying at this hotel. The staff, food and service are also. This is a grand hotel and admittedly does have a little wear and tear, but it has so much more too offer. If u want a wonderful relaxing break with good food, good service and a warm welcome. Then this is the hotel for you.
No doubt I will be returning to this hotel soon and for years to come!

Thank you Falmouth hotel and staff for a wonderful stay!
And both me and my partner look forward to returning soon
:)

The hotel was in a lovely setting , the premier rooms were beautiful huge beds big rooms and comfortable with lovely seaviews
The food was nice

The hotel was booked for relatives attending a funeral
This review is from comments from various members of the party
The hotel had been informed of the funeral and that the elderly father of the deceased lady was in hospital but had arranged to come down, but took a turn for the worse the day before travel and drs woulnt allow him to come.
This meant having to cancel 3 of the 4 rooms as some relatives had to stay in Lancashire with him. I expected to pay for some of the cost but I was informed that the whole cost would have to be paid £1300 approx.
I explained situation but no discretion offered We then contacted other family members to use rooms rather than cancel but only 3 rooms used second night.

Ist night in bar the approach from the waiter for bar bill was brusqe and pushy and made the whole table feel uncomfortable. He was closing the bar and we felt pushed.
Had to wait half an hour for drinks when at table order forgotten.
On final morning one couple were checking out and they were asked to pay an extra £98 and they felt embarrassed
I checked this later and had a discussion with the reception about this and the mix up and that when I had paid what I was told was the whole amount this wasn't clarified
This made a difficult time more difficult than it needed to be

A friend who works at another large hotel in Falmouth told me of the discretion they have in these type of circumstances
The family therefore cant recommend this hotel for the reasons above

Just spent 4 days in the care of this hotel, What a lovely place to stay ! Historical building which is being maintained and brought up to date, Excellent food at reasonable prices, you couldn't ask for a better location right on the beach and a 10 minute stroll into Falmouth and it's excellent eateries.
The staff are very accommodating and nothing is too much trouble.

Try a Caribbean meal at Cribbs in Falmouth woth the walk !

Room Tip: Get a seafront room the views are excellent and always changing ! The fitted double glazing stops an...

Decided to visit Cornwall for a change as although we live in Devon we never go down there. The weekend we spent at the Falmouth Hotel was very good. Friendly staff, super room looking out to sea, and we found the service very good.A grand old building, yes it was in need of a bit of TLC, but it no more than lot of London hotels we have stayed in and they never seem to get a mention regarding this problem. We received a curtsey call a couple of days before our arrival there apologising for a wedding being on and that they hoped it wouldn't spoil our weekend. I did raise concerns about the possible noise disturbance but they assured me that would not be a problem....it wasn't. The food was good, the drinks were a little expensive but that's the price you pay in hotels. We liked the Hotel and Falmouth that much we have decided to return later on in the year to further explore the area. All in all a very good weekend away.

Room Tip: sea views a must

Drove down to Falmouth as they had Rosen Trevithick, a local author, doing a book reading. Isobel, my daughter, loves her books. It was good to see that they were catering for children. The hotel was in a great location close to the beach. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The food for diner and breakfast was really good. The room had a great view of the bay. It was clean and very comfortable. We look forward to visiting again in the summer.
