We spent a night here at the beginning of April, liked the look of the place from online searches, and weren't disappointed. I have to be honest and say that the main reason originally was location, we'd promised ourselves a meal at Rick Steins but didn't want to have to drive, so wanted somewhere close, but when we were shown to our (upgraded) room, Stein's was directly in view ! I don't think we could have stayed anywhere nicer in Falmouth, from the friendly service to the nice little touches others have mentioned, not to mention the excellent breakfast. Oh, and I can't think of any other time were we've been sitting in bed having an early morning cup of tea to blow away the previous nights excesses and been able to watch two tugs manouvering a frigate into dock in front of us!

Would I book again? Too right!

We stayed for two nights and thought the atmosphere was so lovely, very easy going host, lovely rooms and you have your own key to come and go as you please, which suited us as we were at a wedding and it was a very late night!

Location is great - close to restaurants etc at the dock which proved a perfect way to deal with the wedding hangover; bloody marys in the sunshine, perfect. It was also only a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. And its around the corner from either train station.

The hotel and rooms are quite grand with high ceilings and original features. Our room was very pleasant with a lovely large window looking out to Falmouth dock. We can't comment personally on breakfast as we ended up sleeping very late but fellow wedding guest friends said it was excellent.

There is a bar with the hotel which is great way to start your evening and we must mention the lovely owner who very kindly found and returned our i phone charger to us in London.

It would be lovely to return to Falmouth and we would definitely stay at The Grove again.

We arrived in Falmouth deciding to find somewhere on arrival and picked this due to it's vicinity to the town centre. Despite being right at the end of the main shopping street, the hotel was lovely and quiet. The attention to detail was brilliant and couldn't of asked for a better place to stay for our budget. Our room had a larger than average bed, lovely bathroom and nice decor and the room was warm and cosy. The bed was a bit noisy every time you moved but that was the only fault I could find. I'd recommend this hotel to anybody.

Travelling with my husband and my go getting 80 year old mother the location of the hotel was fantastic. It is over the road from the carpark for the maritime museum and it is on the high street enabling us to walk to the lovely shopping district which included all the pubs and restaurants. Plenty of stairs in the hotel but my mum had her room on the ground floor that had just been renovated. Perfect. The breakfast room was good and the service friendly. The location was perfect, we didn't have to drive anywhere except to drive my mum up to the fort on the hill which was great fun to explore. The parking was over the road in the carpark which was ok. Our room was quiet and clean and overlooked next doors garden - bonus. I would recommend the Grove Hotel to anyone.

This September was my fourth stay at The Grove. Geoff and Sian run a wonderfully friendly and comfortable establishment that is always a pleasure to stay at.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast superb (food and service), decor is top notch and best of all Geoff makes a cracking rum and coke :-)

I think that my title speaks volumes for this hotel. In a very busy time with a full hotel the host and staff were still able to make you feel like an individual. The room was excellent (pity about the Cornish weather), the breakfast really sets one up for the day.
Come and go as you please, spend time in the lounge, the bar, or your room at your own pace. No hassle to get you out of the room or the hotel, like home from home.
