“another visit to my second home”
Reviewed 23 April 2009

There is little to add to the splendid reviews written about this hotel ,and its owner,s Clive & David. The welcome and friendly service,as with the comfort experienced there, can only put it on a par, with a dwelling, housing family and friends. Home from home indeed. Jackie Original

From arriving at the Bosanneth to a pot of tea, a relaxed chat and check in, to our leaving 3 days later our stay was one of those special experiences which leaves smiles with the memories.
The hosts:-
Clive and Dave are a font of local information and provide maps, guides and "insider knowledge".
The Food:-
Only serving breakfast on our visit.
FRESH fruit salad - one of the best I have ever had.
Yoghurts, cereals, Cornish porridge that is pure heaven and keeps you full for hours.
Obviously all the cooked options too. All local produce presented individually and with care and style.
Served on white china and cream linen - no paper here!
The rooms:-
All individual with great decor and all the little thoughtful extras. Top quality bedding and towels, extremely comfortable beds.
The lounge:-
Overlooking Clive's sensory garden with views of the sea at the bottom of the road.
The car:-
Is well taken care of, although with everything in walking distance including the station one is not necessary.
Dave and Clive clearly like people, enjoy what they are doing and are good at it. Quite a combination!!!
One of the most memorable places we have ever stayed .

We stayed here for 4 nights over the Easter weekend. The 'Manacles' room was freshly decorated with a brand new bathroom fitted only a couple of weeks before our stay. It was really comfortable and had an amazing view of the sea and the beach. The breakfast was brilliant, with loads of options for really tasty cooked food. The hosts, David and Clive, were so friendly and really helpful whenever we had questions about what to do locally. All in all, it was a fantastic stay and I'd love to go back!

Just come back from a 4 night stay at this wonderful guest house. We were celebrating our silver wedding anniversary and we couldn't have chosen better. David and Clive are absolute gems - nothing is too much trouble for them even though they were desperately trying to finish refurbishing a room for an Easter booking. Breakfast was very tasty and the level of service excellent. Both David and Clive have a wealth of knowledge about the local area and are more than happy to suggest places to visit, restaurants to eat in etc. The depth of comfort and warmth of welcome makes you feel you are stopping as friends rather than guests and that is certainly what we left as. We shall definitely return again and again. We would defy anyone to find fault with this fabulous place.

I can't fault my stay - my colleague and I came for one day's business and managed to squeeze in one day's leisure too. Clive and David are perfect hosts, with an easy, welcoming attitude, where the guest's comfort is paramount in their 'nothing's too much trouble' attitude. The hotel is a beautiful combination of stylish boutique and homliness. It's spotlessly clean and the food is lovely and plentiful. The location by the sea is just right for travelling around the area or local walks. I will be back!

We found the Bosanneth met and surpassed all of our expectations for a long weekend away. It is ideally located, 2 minutes from the beach and a 10 minute stroll to the High Street. The High Street has plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs to suit all pockets and appetites. When you walk around town and see how many guest houses there are, we realised how fortunate we were in finding this gem of a hotel, The house is beautifully decorated and spotlessy clean. The bedrooms (we booked the Balcony Room) are very stylish with top of the range fixtures and fittings. The hosts have got it so right. Clive and David made us feel really welcome and were so accommodating. They run the hotel with exactly the right amount of customer care and attention to detail without being obtrusive - a hard trick to pull off, but they have mastered it well. If you are new to the area, they are a font of all knowledge and can make excellent suggestions on what to do or where to go. They can also make great recommendations on where to find excellent local produce and we came away from our trip with lots of Cornish fare. We are looking forward to returning to the Bosanneth, not just to visit Falmouth again but to see Clive and David and taste one of David's legendary breakfasts (it doesn't taste half as good when you cook it yourself at home!)

We stayed at the hotel in February on a work commitment. Clive & David were very friendly & greeted us with a welcome cup of tea on arrival. The lounge was very comfortable & we enjoyed chatting to other guests who had also just arrived. We stayed for 2 nights & ate dinner there both nights. David checked whether we had any dietary requirements & dished up a lovely 'homesy' vegetable pie - I am a vegetarian. - on the first evening. My room had been recently decorated & I would have been happy to have spent more time there. It was a short walk to the sea & we enjoyed a walk along the front too. Nothing was too much trouble & they even managed to get us a good deal on the taxi back to Newquay airport.
