“A lovely evening”
Reviewed 31 May 2014 via mobile

Went to Wildebeest for my birthday, Sat 24 May 2014. We had a really good evening. The food was excellent, really imaginative menu, and loads of things that were completely new to me. How exciting! Service was friendly and efficient. Great atmosphere, that felt more like a family do really, as everyone was chatting about the food, comparing notes and making recommendations. Only one minor issue, please sort out the sticking, clattering front door. Otherwise, really lovely evening.

“Excellent vegetarian/vegan cafe”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

The short, imaginative menu shows that whoever is in charge of the food here knows what they are doing - really interesting flavour combos, and my choice of blue corn enchiladas stuffed with butternut squash and served with salsa, bean and a wonderful cashew "cheese' was beautifully cooked. Spicy, but not hot for the sake of it - though beware the homemade hot sauce! which was delicious, but a little went a long way. We were only sorry not to have room to try the desserts - again fab combinations in the icecream flavours and some rather wonderful looking cakes.
Mainly lunchtime, in a simple but stylish cafe setting, though I think they also open some evenings.

“Surprisingly good”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

We were very pleasantly surprised by the food in this vegan restaurant. Not even being vegetarians we thought it might be a bit lacking in "something". But it wasn't.
All delicious and well presented. Simple but very good.
Give it a try.

Really nice place. Great food. Well priced. Definitely order the cheesecake! All food suitable for vegans/vegetarians - we're neither but excited to go back!

“Exceptional eating experience for both vegans and non vegans”
Reviewed 24 May 2014 via mobile

The food was exceptional, the service was excellent. Would definitely go back. As vegans we can truly say the food was of a very high standard on both taste and presentation.
