Really enjoyed our visit, shared the platter where you can choose 4 of the main menu options....tried the brisket, pulled pork, ribs and sausages with fries, onion rings and slaw and the chefs special sauce......can't wait to return to try the rest of the menu!
Very friendly service and we'll be taking our dog next time as apparently welcome on the ground floor.

We used to visit here regularly when it was a meadery and loved it, however we are a little unsure about the new Arthurs Table.... The service was very good, exceptionally friendly with a very nice lady as front of house and the food was served relatively quickly.

The food was really unexpected. It was more of a fine dining experience than the good pub grub we were expecting. It was defiantly good rustic style food and it was very tasty, but we felt it didn't suit the restaurant and the decor. The menu was a little confusing, and although we originally loved the idea of being able to pick what comes with the main course, we ended up with an odd mix of very nice food, which did not work together. We felt with a menu which included some amazing unusual side dishes like this one, most people will need some advice on what flavours work together. Also if we had some more information about the courses we would have picked differently. A example of this is the garlic bread, which came on 3 different types of bread including one with squid ink and cranberries, which although tasty, we can imagine this confusing some people. Overall the food was delicious and obviously freshly cooked. The portion sizes were huge and neither of us could finish our meals.

Sadly there was no atmosphere to speak of although on the plus side this meant our meal was very private. All in all this has the makings of a great restaurant and I'm sure once the new owners are more settled it will become very good.

Our first time at Arthurs Table and what a treat . Very welcoming , quirky decor in an old chapel and oh so excellent food.Visited on Sunday with my wife and two sons ,we had three sunday lunch ,two brisket and one pork belly and ribs with wall of flame sauce !!. The sunday lunch presentation was different ,well presented on a large platter, from which we helped our selves and the food and plates were hot ,with a choice of eight different vegetables !!. The generous amount of brisket was cooked to perfection, full of flavour and came in its own dish in the middle of the platter with all the vegetable arranged around it .The pork belly again was excellent with a good helping of crackling ,and the ribs were flavourful, well presented on its own and the sauce was HOT !!.An excellent eatery and will certainly be visiting again.Success to you all in your new venture ,you deserve to zoom up the Trip Advisor ratings.

We visited the restaurant with a group of friends and were immediately impressed with the interior decor with shields, swords etc adorning the walls and lost of alcoves to sit in along with the larger tables including the large King Arthur's round table.

Service was fast and very friendly and the menu was varied and well thought out. We had several different mains but some of us plumped for the pulled pork with chefs special sauce and it was amazing. Very tasty and not something I have had in other restaurants before. We rounded off with has to be the best chocolate fudge cake I have ever tasted.

All in all a truly 5 star meal and terrific settings with brilliant staff...what more could you want
