Our visit to the location Land's End was a visit not to be repeated, the location has turned into a HORRIBLE tacky tourist shopping centre theme park desgined to millk the tourist pockets for everything it can. Parking was £5 just to get access to the site. DON'T Waste your hard earned cash going to Land's End.

Myself and my cousin went there to just say we had been to Land's End, £5 parking to get in, £5 to stand by the famous sign, and so it went on, the gift shops had very little to do with Land's end in stock and were filled with junk, a real rip off.

Lands End is worth a visit, but do the free stuff. The only reason for going here is that it is the end of the UK. It's one of those places that you have to visit to say you have been there. The sign post photo is also compelling to prove you have been there (with your home town and miles on the post), but costly. The attractions are somewhat pointless, so don't do them.
Tips for a cheaper day out:
Go later in the day as parking in £3. If you are local, parking is free all year and you get a big sticker to prove it. Go in the evening; The sunset could be fantastic and the signpost guy has gone home and you can take all the photos you want under his sign. Bring a picnic. Enjoy the views and coast, avoid the attractions.
The hotel does a nice pint and cup of tea, so worth supping on a beer watching the ships go by..
Do some research as within a few miles of Land End are some of the most stunning sights to be seen anywhere. Sennen cove, Cape Cornwall, Botallack mine...... Forget the attractions and expensive tat, visit take some pictures and move on to more of Cornwall.

Appalling shows, appalling prices, appalling staff, appalling organisation. What a rip off, queues are ridiculous, unbelievable pillaging of our heritage site - piracy is alive and well today in Lands End!
Me and two kids - over £100 spent for a poor experience.
How van you justify £15 for a T shirt with a small embroidered logo - I's love to know!

This should be a really good tourist attraction, after all lots of tourists including myself want to visit the end of our island but it is embarrassingly poor. We visited whilst on holiday in Cornwall and would not return. The signpost is the only thing relevant to it being Lands End and as another reviewer states you have to pay to take the photograph!! Whoever is in charge of marketing this visitor attraction really needs to be sacked. The attractions that you pay for are geared to the under tens so nothing there for us. We went on a day when they were advertising fireworks in the evening. What they fail to tell you until you get there is the fireworks are at 9.45 p.m.!!!

Lands End is a "must see" for many on holiday. Its problem is the feeling of getting ripped off. Well you can still enjoy the natural beauty by getting the open top bus to avoid the £5 parking - entry is then free unless you go into some of the "paid for rip offs". Open top bus (300) is a wonderful way of seeing the fantastic countryside that you just do not get chance to enjoy as you negotiate the very narrow roads and try to avoid the buses! It is a treat for kids and we paid £12 return from St Ives for 2 adults and 3 kids. Best part of day!

When you arrive, avoid the pay for attractions, you are guaranteed to be disappointed. Arthur's Quest is astonishingly poor when you consider it costs £4 for adults and £3 for kids. At a £1, you might just get away with it. There are free play areas and exhibitions as well as the views to enjoy, stick to them.

Take a picnic as well, unless you want expensive pasties and burgers.

Overall, if you must visit, be warned. There are many other places that are more user-friendly - Bottallack, Geevor, Porthcurno, Sennen etc. and the open top bus visits them all. . . You can also spot some nice places to go back to for afternoon tea in the car.

Our visit had the attraction of the Air Sea Rescue Day, so lots of people to talk to from Culdrose Navy Base, RNLI, Coastguard etc that helped make the visit more comfortable than usual.
