Martin gave us a warm welcome. It wasn't warm (we woke up to snow) so he kindly lit a fire for us. Gill gave us helpful suggestions regarding what to see and do in Looe. The cooked breakfast was delicious. In summary, we had an excellent stay and Gill and Martin were very accommodating hosts.

Fantastic place. Great family room and facilities. We will be staying again! The hosts were very welcoming and gave us all sorts of local tips so that we got the most out of our stay there. The place is situated in a great location near the little station just outside of Looe. We had the choice of driving or taking the train.

Room tip: The walk to the station is along a road, so be careful at night.

We really appreciated having a lovely spacious room with a Queen sized bed, which was very comfortable! The breakfasts were fabulous, with a great choice. But the thing that impressed us the most was the friendliness of Martin and Gill, who were so welcoming and accommodating.

We returned to the Polraen after many years of holidays overseas. Gill and Martin are still running the country hotel and made us really welcome. The location is brilliant for Looe, Fowey and much of Cornwall. The room was comfortable and we had a really relaxing stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and are looking to return again before long.

We feel honoured to welcome so many repeat visitors, thankful that we remain on their radar years later for a repeat trip to Cornwall. We're fortunate that our location lends itself to enjoying Looe whilst affording easy access to many other iconic towns and villages of SE Cornwall and beyond. Thank you for staying with us and we hope to see you again.

Excellent room which was very clean. A well stocked bar is available for use. The breakfast was superb and very good quality. The position of the hotel is just a short drive into Looe with bus and train services nearby. Will use again for visits to this area.

No surprise that Martin's breakfast is often the most memorable part of anyone's stay at Polraen. Your comments are much appreciated and we look forward to welcoming you back again.
