Having spent three nights in the standard room with river view we wanted to share our discovery of this excellent B&B with others. The room was exactly as it was on the website- compact but perfectly adequate, with clever touches to make the best use of space. The room and ensuite were spotless and were cleaned to this level daily. Water, tea and coffee were replenished each day and the breakfasts were legendary.
The view over the river, from the room, was delightful and could also be enjoyed from the sun lounge area. Without doubt Jean and Peter made us feel welcome and at home, nothing was too much trouble and yet they did not intrude either.

We really enjoyed our two night stay in a Standard Double en-suite room. Our room was quite cosy, well-appointed and spotlessly clean. The bed was the comfiest bed I have ever slept in away from home.

The Dolphin view over the estuary, woodlands and town was pretty spectacular. However it was very warm and with the windows open in the mornings we experienced some noise from the passing traffic... though that was often drowned by the noise from the seagulls!

Breakfasts are superb. The Dolphin/full English is a hearty affair so on the second morning I opted to order a lighter fish alternative of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. It was delicious.

On a sunny day it was lovely to take the Looe Woodlands stroll/walk. Although a bit steep and challenging in places, the peace and quiet and dappled shade was a welcome contrast to the hustle and bustle of the town.

I can highly recommend Dolphin House.

We spent 3 nights here at the end of April and it was our first visit. What an excellent find this was. Peter and Jean were perfect hosts, very friendly and could not have done more for us during our stay. Rooms were spotless, and the beds really sumptuous, the breakfasts were excellent with almost anything you could want on offer. We were sorry to have to leave this excellent establishment. This will definitely not be our last visit here.

We have just returned after staying last night at the Dolphin. We booked the Dolphin based on the reviews and we're not disappointed. Our room was spotless, the breakfast delicious and Peter and Jean could not do enough to make our stay perfect. There were so many lovely little touches including a little Easter egg gift at breakfast this morning. My suggestion is don't look any further just book the Dolphin.

Room Tip: Room 4 has a lovely view and a nice seating area too!

Just have to say this is a most wonderful hotel and the attention to detail is fantastic.
From the moment we arrived we felt so comfortable. Our room was lovely, I wish our stay could have been longer.
The breakfast is not to be missed either.
Great location for getting into Looe its just down the road and parking just across the road.

Dolphin House looked great when I booked it. It was more than we could have wished for. My partner and I stayed for a week w/c 24/8. The house is adorable and our bedroom was lovely -overlooking the river was fantastic. Spotlessly clean, roomy and had everything we needed. The bed was so comfortable and the view is brilliant. Peter and Jean were so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Peters breakfast is to die for- 5 star all the way. Also a parking place is sorted for you. Every little touch added is done with care, I was so impressed. It is unusual to find this type of holiday venue nowadays. Have told all my friends and family and we will definitely be going back. Thanks Jean and Peter from Gareth and Jill
