“THE PERFECT SPOT”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 May 2013 via mobile

We always stay here when in Cornwall. Very friendly and helpful. Tony and Dawn make you feel more like friends than just casual visitors. Rooms are beautifully set out, airy and clean. Food is plentiful and well cooked. Breakfast variety is excellent. There is a great fish restaurant only 500 yards along the road.
This is an ideal place to venture from to tour Cornwall.
Tony plays guitar and sings so, I brought mine and we had a great evening with loads of old songs.

THIS IS A MUST STAY PLACE!

I was very impressed by my stay at Dovers House. The en suite bedroom overlooking great views was clean with a very comfortably bed and furnished to a high standard. The room lacked for nothing. We were offered a varied choice of breakfast, which was cooked to a high standard. The welcome from Dawn & Tony on a wet Cornwall day brought a smile to our faces. Thank you both for a wonderful stay and in the words of Arnie "we will be back"

Dovers House is a beautiful guest house in a perfect location with ample car parking, owned and run by Dawn and Tony who make every one feel completely at home. The rooms are all en suite, comfortable, spotless and tastefully furnished. The breakfast of which there is a varied choice is cooked to perfection and served with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble. Thank you Dawn & Tony for making our stays so memorable and we can't wait to come again.

Tony and Dawn are very friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. Full starters and Full English breakfast. Wonderful airy and clean rooms with a high level of attention to detail and incredibly comfortable beds.. All En-suite.
Tony and Dawn were very helpful with what to see and where to go.

We cannot praise this B&B highly enough and will definitely be returning next year.
By the way - Tony can play guiitar so if you play an instrument I suggest you may want to take it along for a jam session although Tony won't force you.

Thanks to Tony and Dawn for a great stay and a great choice of location.

We also recommend Darren, Colin and the girls for the Coddy Shack 500 yards along the road for the best fish dishes you could wish for and a damn good steak at really good prices.

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent

This was our first visit to Dovers House and hopefully it will not be our last. We arrived on a very cloudy damp day to a wonderful welcome from Dawn. We were shown to our en-suite room which was very light clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were wonderful, served in the conservatory overlooking the gardens. An added bonus was the ample car parking facilities. Thank you Tony and Dawn for looking after us so well.

We had a very warm welcome from Dawn when we arrived at Dovers House and it just got better from there. We were shown to our room which was light, airy, clean and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Breakfast each day was worth waiting for.....fresh fruit, cereals and a great full english kept us going for the day ahead. Dawn and Tony were great hosts and more like friends.
Easy to find and easy to park, we walked a short distance to the bus stop to get into Looe and didn't need to worry about parking the car in the lovely fishing village.
Dovers House offers a great place to stay and if you didn't want to go out you could sit in the lovely garden and read a book.
We would definately book again and recommend to our friends.
Thank you Dawn and Tony for making us so welcome and letting us share your beautiful home during our visit to Looe.

Room Tip: Room 4 has a large en-suite and is bright, airy and very comfortable.

We have stayed here twice already and certainly hope to be returning before too long. This is a lovely B & B with a warm welcoming atmosphere, bright very clean and comfortable bedrooms and super breakfasts served in an attractive conservatory. We are always reluctant to leave as it feels as though we are parting from old friends. We heartily recommend you to stay here if you are coming to this part of the country.

Room Tip: They are all equally good
