Stayed at trelawn for 4 nights with my 18 month old grand daughter, daughter and son in law.Didnt quite know what to expect as had nt been on a caravan holiday for a few years . We had a bronze caravan. On arrival I was pleasantly surprised. Although you could see it was an older caravan, it was clean . The seating was a bit on the shabby side but ok , it had everything we needed including a microwave. The tv was a bit disappointing ,but we didn't spend much time watching it !
The site is well laid out .we had lovely views over the Cornish countryside, and it s kept clean and litter free.
We ate in chefs corner every night ,choosing to eat in the bar rather than the cafe as this is very cramped and no where near big enough . I think they need to improve the cafe / restaurant area as this is a bit of a let down . The food is very reasonably priced and fairly good . They also do take aways .
The entertainment team are very good . My granddaughter loved the evenings entertainment . A bit of something for everyone . The comedian on Thursday night was brilliant without being blue,so all the family can enjoy it . one night there was a tribute band which was also quite good .
The swimming pools are ok .the outdoor one needs a bit of up dating ,especially around the pool area ( concrete slabs) but it is clean . A bit disappointing that both pools close for an hour in the early afternoon , especially on a hot day . Would it not be better to have a lunch rota for the life guards so that there is always some one on duty ? There is a flume and smaller indoor and outdoor pools for the little ones . My granddaughter loved her swimming sessions . We didn't use the changing rooms so can't comment but the flooring leading to the indoor pool could do with sorting out it is always soaking wet Seems to be no drainage .
There is an on site shop .Limited stock and rude unfriendly staff when we used it one morning so never returned . This is a holiday resort so a smile and a friendly hello would be nice !
The on site laundrette is good plenty of tumble driers to air wet towels .
The site is approx 2 miles from both polperro and Looe . and close to talland Bay although with a push chair or young children I think the walk would ve been quite dangerous , no footpaths on the main road and narrow country lanes where people tend to go far too fast , but talland has a car park and there are cafes and a beach shop . The site is also a good base for coastal path walking.
We had a good time , would probably stay for a week next time as 4 nights went too quick ! ,and would probably up grade to a silver or bronze caravan . if we return

Room Tip: This is a caravan holiday park not a hotel

We have just arrived back from Trelawne manor after staying mon-fri in a Bronze caravan. The accommodation and park facilities where a higher standard than I expected. With the caravan being a bronze level I was expecting to find it really run down but I was pleasantly surprised with just finding a little wear and tear . Our party consisted of myself, my mum, husband and daughter. We used the pool every day although some days were too cold for the out door pool. My daughter who is 18 months really enjoyed the evening entertainment and stripy James & Zoe did a fantastic job and seemed to be her favourites. We ate at the chefs corner every evening, the food was good value and a good menu. The only downside was the unfriendly service received from the park shop staff they were rude on the few occasions we actually used the shop which put us off. Keep up the good work James & the entertainment team. I would also like to add the reception manager/team member were welcoming on arrival too.

We stayed here in July 2014 and the caravan cleanliness was very poor and this was after they cleaned it a second time after we asked.the shop was expensive and in need of a face lift. The restaurant food was fantastic and reasonably priced the pools were ok lifeguards were amazing wit

h my disabled son especially the manager. Maintenence guy was really friendly. Receptionist was a bit snobby but the young man receptionist at evening was brilliant.

Brilliant little park, ive been several times. My only issue, if ur over 6ft tall or built like the proverbial. ...ur going to have a cramped week lol. Food from the chefs corner is outstanding and at a good price. However if u fancy fish and chips pop over to sal and vinnies fish shop at west wayland. Walk up the road opposite the laundrette. At the top is a small footpath thru the trees out on to the road, turn left up to the junction the fields opposite is west wayland. Turn left and walk down to the entrance. They are based there . Gorgeous fish and chips cooked to order with a sea view 2 mins from the park. Talland bay is a must, great coffee shop right on the beach!!!!!

Enjoy ur holiday ;-)

As a family we really enjoy staying at Trelawne Manor. We have been lucky enough to have stayed in the same bronze caravan each time and are very happy with it. We like to drive around and visit different places during the day, and it is a great base for Looe, Polperro, and Newquay. We havent been for 2 years, and there is definitely a marked improvement on our last year. The stripeys were very good, in particular James who was very helpful in helping our girls chose what to buy with their spending money, they were very happy! It was nice to see the stripeys on the dance floor filling the time with party dances - our girls even joined in towards the end of the week! Good entertainment, friendly bar staff, and good prize money on bingo (although we didn't win).
Very happy and will definitely return in the future.

For what we paid I thought there would be more the kids club was very short at night and nothing for the kids to do during the day apart from swimming or playing in the park where's the kids club during the day we heard so many people moaning there wasn't enough for the kids and as for our caravan I know it was a budget one but it was falling apart vent cover missing in kitchen, veneer peeling away from furniture I'm not saying it's all bad but needs improvement however the food is excellent friendly staff helpful we were told there was a woodland walk near by but one route was overgrown so we would have to go on the road to it what entertainment there was, was fun but needs more from about 7-9.30 pm but seats killed my back, bar was good. In the end we came home a day early because kids were bored and wanted to go home.

Anyway hope this helps anyone decide I wouldn't go there with the kids again if it was just us two then mabey was nice scenery and friendliness was good.

Hello Kirsty

Your review made very interesting and certainly unusual reading. As a company, John Fowler Holidays has never professed to having "Holiday Camps" with all-day activities and I am certain our regular clientele would not like us to do so.

Our "Holiday Park" approach has always been popular and, of course, is reflected in the prices we charge. Having said that Trelawne Manor puts on more activities than most of our parks and I am sorry that that which was provided was not to your taste.

Visited this site for two week,26th July till 9th Aug with my wife and 2 children.Just booked to go back same time next year with all my family (14 of us).Couldn't have had a better holiday.Ideally situated between Looe and Palperro, there is so much to do,i don't think we saw my son for the two week playing football, crazy golf, table tennis. The entertainment was superb, the Rod Stewart tribute has to be seen to be believed.Could have done with starting the shows a bit earlier,10.30 for karaoke was a bit late for my kids.Apart from that cant wait, roll on next year!
