“Nice pub.”
Reviewed 28 July 2014 via mobile

Since being in Looe my wife, daughter and I have adopted the Ship as our local! It's a nice spacious pub with friendly staff and good ales. We have tried other pubs but always seem to end up back here!
We haven't tried the food yet but from what we have seen it seems ok.
They have live music on a Saturday night and karaoke on a Wednesday night which is a laugh. All in all well worth checking out if you're here!

“Very rude staff and poor quality food!”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

I recently visited The Ship Inn with my family for a nice meal and social evening. The food that we had ordered all came out at different times, and not in the correct order. A steak that one of my family members had ordered was full of gristle and hard bits, so she asked politely for a new one medium to well done with no blood what so ever. The steak then took an extra 20 minutes to come out, by this time everybody else had eaten their food, which was very dry and tasteless. The new steak was cut into and blood was coming out so we complained again and asked for a refund! When waiting for my money back one of my family members overhead a male staff member talking and mocking us behind our back, which is very rude! We then caught him again and mentioned to him how rude he was being and that there was no need! We then asked for the manager which was a worse idea because she was very snooty and rude, shouting at my family and told us to leave! She was obviously embarrassed and didn't want to look bad! Very awful staff not appropriate and shouldn't be aloud to run a restaurant! Would not recommend to anybody and will never go back

“Nice Pub Food”
Reviewed 25 June 2014

Our group of friends on a day visit to Looe were checking the pubs for somewhere nice to have lunch. Having decided that the Swan wasn't up to our standards, we popped into The Ship. Much nicer, cleaner, more spacious and friendlier. So we thought we'd risk the food. Very nice and reasonably priced. Ales and Lagers excellent and a good selection of wines. Well worth the visit.

“Pub grub, but a good bit though”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

Had a simple meal here one evening and, well, it's a pub with simple food. Price was good so value for money and that is what counts. I had the liver which, missed a bit livery taste, it could be better, but considering the price I paid, not bad at all.
