Description: We are an old traditional public house , family run for 32 years offering traditional pub food such as our lamb hot pot, fish pie, steak and ale, and chicken and mushroom pies Currently we are opening from 11 until 2:30 for lunch and 5 until 9:00 most evenings. Whilst we welcome children, we are unable to accommodate perambulators or buggies due to Covid 19 spacing. Wheel chair and mobility scooter users are asked to call in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements to allow for fluid access either through the main door or our accessible rear gate. We are also dog friendly so long as they are on leads and on the floor as not all of our patrons wish to share seats with our pets! Post pandemic all of our team are still working extremely hard to create a safe and sanitary environment so please be patient wether you are joining us for a drink or for a meal , We look forward to welcoming you soon.

Without doubt the rudest owner I have every come across.
This is not a restaurant it's a pub that warms up frozen food. No steak on the menu should tell you something about their kitchen because they haven't the facilities or ability to cook one.
Don't waste your time waiting for frozen food.
Go to a real restaurant.

The food as always was great. The fish batter was nice and crispy and the staff friendly.
Now I am an apple crumble and clotted cream man so was not sure about the cherry crumble with custard but it was amazing!
Well with a visit

We booked a table at the Salutation as it looked like a quaint and cosy pub. The pub was busy which we took to be a good sign. We ordered food and drinks quickly but there didn’t seem to be much coming out of the kitchen. 40 minutes later when the owner came to check everything was ok, we asked politely how long might our food be. He rudely said ‘It’s not McDonalds!’. We looked at each other with our mouths open and he walked off, turning around in front of other customers and said ‘yes that’s right, that’s what I said.’ At this point we got up from the table, paid for our drinks and walked out. We were not going to eat at an establishment that shows such distain to their customers.
We went around the Corner to Pepe’s Tex Mex Restaurant where we had the best service and a lovely meal.
Don’t waste your money on such a rude establishment.

A superb traditional little Pub / come Resturant serving hot freshly cooked high quality but not pretentious food Staffed by the Amazing Owners Sean ,Matthew and their very friendly team. Supurg Doombar beer.
It should be noted that this pub does not have the depressing malaise suffered by most buisinesses in Looe caused by a lack of peole willing to work after the Pandemic.
