My family and I visited twice last week during our stay in Looe. We tried several of the wonderful speciality scones and had a toastie as well. They accommodated the children's preferences and they shared a delicious thick-cut bread toastie packed with filling (and they both got generous side salad each). The tea and coffees were excellent and the milkshakes went down a treat with the kids. I found the service to be friendly and efficient - the only downside was that the bakery isn't bigger with more tables, as the place was often busy and finding a space was tricky. Overall, no.1 cafe in Looe and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

If you like scones you will like this place. Clean and tidy a bit quirky in decor which adds character. We tried the strawberry and vanilla and the fruit and the rhubarb and stem ginger scones amoungst our party. It would be so wrong not to have a proper cream tea when in Cornwall. Cornish tea is served here and it really is lovely and served in real china cups too. Do not come here if you are counting calories as you will stress out. Just remember the ladies who waved away the sweet trolley on the Titanic, , today enjoy worry tomorrow it is a new day.

We have recently been to Looe on holiday and luckily came upon this place by chance. Good find, as they had a fabulous selection of different flavour scones. We had one bakewell and I think raspberry and coconut, but there are lots of others to try. If you are looking for a good cream tea, this is your place.
