Thanks for taking the time to review the Old Rectory. It was a real pleasure having you stay and we were quite honoured you picked our place for your stay in Cornwall coming all the way over from New Zealand. You were rhe most perfect "guests" one could ask to have stay in their property. Hope too see you again one day.... All the best, Chris & Jags.

“cute and just a perfect place to stay”
Reviewed 11 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

we stayed for 4 nights and i now wish we had booked the hole week this was are first holiday cottage stay and it was the best stay ever Chris and jags were so friendly and welcoming. The lovey welcome hamper was lovely after a long drive down, also the welcome book was very helpful and we took there advice and went to Sarah's pasty shop in looe and also they tell you place to eat and where the nearest supermarket is you are not far form liskeard when you can hop on to the A38 and get anywhere you wish. All in all it is the best stay i have ever had and can't wait to come back down to Cornwall soon. thank you again Chris and jags for such a lovely place to stay wish i could have taken the little cottage home with me it was so cosy and homely .

“Fantastic Cottage in wonderful scenery - will definitely return.”
Reviewed 4 April 2014 for a stay in March 2014

We really enjoyed our long weekend at The Old Rectory Holiday Cottage - the property is in an idyllic location and is in A1 condition - great kitchen/sitting room area with all mod cons and wonderful shower in state-of-the-art bathroom - lovely after being out all day exploring the area. Nice private patio also - managed to catch some sunshine even in March. Hosts are very friendly but we didn't really need to refer to them for anything as our stay was pretty much perfect anyway. Short drive to lots of nice coastal areas - we would recommend the walk down to Lantic Bay. If you don't want to cook there are local restaurants/pubs/takeaways to explore. Had a smooth drive down and back - not difficult to find off the A38. Would not hesitate to recommend and sure we will be back.

“Just the ticket for a well earned rest and holiday base in a home from home”
Reviewed 16 March 2014 for a stay in February 2014

I was tasked by dear friends in finding self catering accommodation in close proximity to our own home so that we could be visited by them in the very near future.

I approached several such places and visited some of them to gauge if my friends would like to stop there.

THE OLD RECTORY COTTAGES, located as they are about 4 miles from where we live was just the place, The owners really went out of their way to show me the self catering cottage and the grounds In fact as the property was vacant i spent the day there to enable me to get the feel of the place, just soaking up the early spring sun and the peacefulness.

As you drive up the lane from the road and first glimpse sight of the main house you know you are in for a treat, the cottage I looked at was detached and far enough away from the main house to provide a feeling of privacy and seclusion, with its ample car parking, its own sun and barbecue area and stunning views across open countryside.

Stepping in you are greeted with a charming open plan lounge and luxury kitchen both equipped with luxurious fittings and furniture, and a real oak floor, there is a view of open countryside from the lounge window.

Off this space there is a small corridor leading to the Bathroom and Bedroom. The Bathroom, what can i say other than i would love this to be in my own home, fully tilled and of generous proportions with the latest Rain shower the attention to detail is second to none.

The bedroom is well laid out and is a homely comfortable space with French doors leading off, i would not expect to use these but they do provide a well lit and open feel to the room.

On chatting to the owner it seems he has a small collection of motorcycles and knowing the area as i do i would think this accommodation would make the perfect place for anyone wishing to tour both Devon and Cornwall either by Car or Motorcycle

I will be recommending my friends stay at the Old rectory , i am convinced they will love it and really look forward to seeing them down here in Cornwall in the near future.

“luxury cottage, fabulous quality throughout, stunning views and location”
Reviewed 8 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We loved our stay here for one week, and we certainly wish it could have been for longer. Everything we needed was found in the cottage including wi-fi.

Stunning views of the countryside every morning is the way to enjoy your morning coffee !! the lovely sunny weather we had all week meant we managed to visit every day somewhere different, all the places of which had details or leaflets within the cottage to help us decide which to choose each day.

A thoughtful welcome pack on arrival meant we did not have to go shopping after our 7 hr drive up from Kent and was most appreciated.

The Jags and Chris made us feel so welcome and we are already planning our next visit.
