“A perfect place to escape”
Reviewed 26 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Have just returned from an absolutely wonderful, relaxing weekend away with friends at the Threshing Barn - the perfect escape from it all. We really couldn't recommend this property highly enough. On our arrival received a lovely basket of local goodies, including a delicious home-baked cake! Our hosts were friendly and helpful, though discrete, and had thoughtfully provided an excellent resource of local activities - the various walking routes were especially appreciated. The barn itself was spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and impeccably clean; the surrounding farm a tranquil haven. The hot tub was a particular highlight of our stay, overlooking the rolling hills of Cornwall by day, and a beautiful star-studded sky by night. Will definitely be recommending this property to other friends and family, and hopefully paying a return visit ourselves in the not too distant future!

This fantastic barn provided us with quality accommodation that exceeded our expectation. Everything was provided, a true home from home, the best self catering we have ever experienced! A peaceful place with a warm welcome from the owners.

What a wonderful surprise finding East Trenean Farm. On arrival we were greeted by Ian & Brenda who couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome, with 4 children aged 2,4, 10 & 12 you might think they would look worried but Ian wasn't phased at all & offered us the use of stair gates, high chairs & even a bed guard!! The barn itself is very spacious with 3 large bedrooms on the lower ground level & a spacious lounge/diner and kitchen on the upper floor which has all mod cons including ice dispenser in fridge. There is also a cozy mezzanine area where you will find a selection of board games. The beds are very comfy with lovely clean linen, the bathrooms spotless & an amazing shower in the main bathroom!!!

The farm has 10 acres of which you can roam freely, in the fields you will find sheep & around the farmhouse wondering chickens which my children loved. Ian very kindly let the little ones look for eggs, there were 2, much to their delight. The trampoline was a big hit & the swings. WiFi signal is very good too.

All in all a fantastic place to stay in Cornwall. So nice we were a bit reluctant to share our views as we would like to keep it a secret as we will definitely be returning. We must just mention the lovely welcome basket too, homemade cakes, local fresh bread & fresh eggs just some of the items inside.
