“The perfect antidote”

Our 4-day stay wasn’t really long enough to get the full benefit from this terrific apartment.
Although in our 60’s we had been to the Glastonbury festival the previous weekend and so this was the perfect antidote. The view from the lounge and main bedroom windows is great.
If you’re active then there are local costal walks to enjoy. We caught a bus to the lovely village of Polperro and walked back to Looe.
There are so many pubs and restaurants to satisfy those wishing to eat out, and local supermarkets for those wishing to eat in. The apartment has pretty much every kitchen implement, crockery, pan, dish etc.
Two bedroom with en-suite bathrooms. Dishwasher, washing machine, iron/ironing board for those who look forward to doing that on holiday?? There was nothing that we found wanting facility wise.
Looe is difficult for parking, but there is an associated parking space with the apartment albeit up quite a number of steps at the back. However if you plan things right you should be able to offload on the roadside below and carry things up the slope to the front door.
A great time was had by all and highly recommended.

“Great apartment, perfect location”
Reviewed 28 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We have just come back from a stay in the apartment and can truly say we have had an amazing time. I was a little apprehensive about the apartment beforehand due to the limited number of reviews online, but my concerns were unfounded.

Communication leading up to the stay was excellent with clear directions and information from Max who was extremely helpful throughout. The apartment was first and foremost, very clean and refurbished to a modern standard, which is what we wanted, given a lot of the other alternatives looked more old fashioned and tired in appearance. The apartment was very well stocked with more than we could have expected e.g. basket with snacks and wine, milk, butter, oil, cleaning equipment, towels and other household essentials etc. It's these small details that count.

The apartment was located in the perfect place, on the West Looe side meaning we were away from the busy East Looe high street but still overlooked the area as well as the beach and the sea - great for people watching and only a stones throw away from the action. And whilst we touch on the subject, the view was amazing from BOTH balconies - it was truly relaxing to end and start the day with the sight and sound of the sea in view and this was undoubtedly the highlight of our whole Cornwall trip. The SW coastal path leading to Polperro was also right on our doorstep (I think it was 3 miles one way) and would definitely recommend this as one of the best coastal paths we've ever walked. We also had a great meal at the Old Sail Loft Restaurant which surprised us with it's great fine dining food (comparing favourably with much more pretentious restaurants).

There is an allocated parking space at the back but be warned that it is very tight space - I was parked alongside a 4x4 and there was practically no room to get out of the door.

In terms of other things to do, I would recommend the river boat trip, a spot of crabbing and getting fresh cockles at the cute little seafood Delhi shop in East Looe. All in all, an excellent stay and a more pleasant and charming experience than the supposedly more upmarket spa hotel that we visited afterwards.

“Beautifully presented apartment, well equipped and amazing views”
Reviewed 2 April 2014 for a stay in March 2014

The apartment changed hands at the beginning of 2014 and the new owners have clearly spent a lot of time, money and effort upgrading the apartment - its in show home condition, well equipped and has two en-suite bathrooms. The main bedroom has views to the sea and a great balcony with by-fold doors. The kitchen has everything you'll need - and all in good condition. The lounge area has views to the beach & sea beyond with another balcony. The new owners have made the apartment were homely with DVD's, CD's, books and games - they clearly want you to enjoy your stay and we really did. Booking is easy and straightforward. All in all the apartment is highly recommended. Looe is a lovely town with great places to eat or grab a coffee. The beach is nicely sheltered. The coastal walk to nearby Polperro is delightful with a couple of nice beachfront cafes en-route to stop for refreshment.
