Owner description: A 5.4 mile moderate coastal walk along the South West Coast Path taking in a holy legend, a 6th century monastery, an 18th century eccentric and a 19th century engineer. There are rockpools on the beaches, remnants of shipwrecks, tales of smugglers, and the walk ends with a stroll up through the picturesque fishing village of Polperro to Crumplehorn, where you can catch a bus back to Looe.

We didnt have time to do the walk, but visited Polperro and Looe with National Holidays as an additional excursions and wouldn't have missed it for the world. Both places were beautiful and such lovely holiday destinations, with their quaint fishermens cottages to the local produce and quirky shops and artisits studios down small streets that seem to go on forever. It was so restful and peaceful sat on the harbour looking out to sea and everyone was enjoying the peace and quiet and not speaking, just looking, quite surreal. The local people are so friendly and will tell you stories of the cottages or events that have happened over the years. Fresh seafood can be bought which is all freshly caught. The freshly caught crabs were heavenly and I looked forward to a crab sandwich all week, and it didnt dissappoint. I would highly recomment a visit to both places if you are ever in Cornwall, I am glad I went.

Have been to Looe half a dozen times and every time do this walk. Amazing! Was a bit harder this time as weather had caused problems with landslides and had to do a bit of a detour. Really recommend the coastal walk. (them a meal and drink at Crumplehorn!)

This is an excellent walk from Looe to Polpero and frequent buses back. Unfortunately near the end the coast path has been diverted and whilst it's on little used tiny roads it is very uphill. Despite this Polpero is a great place to wander around and the 3 Pilchards pub excellent We took about 2 hours 50 and enjoyed it very much with sightings of buzzards too.

This walk is not to be missed if our are visiting this wonderful part of Cornwall.
We have done this walk at all times of the year and always look forward to it as part of the holiday.
The walk around the coast line has its own mini climate,it makes no difference how cold or windy it is in town, its always warmer during the walk, and that's not down to the exercise!
It is a good walk and not for those that are less than mobile.
Make sure you take a drink along as well.

This is a lovely coastal path walk. Steep in places and quite rough so you need to be reasonably agile. When the sun is shinging the views are superb...
