Having visited Trelaske 5 times over the past three years, it remains a superb little gem of a hotel, in a peaceful and relaxing rural environment. Breakfast and Dinner as ever prepared and presented to a very high standard, with a very comprehensive and affordable wine list. Hazel, Ross and their staff, offer a splendid getaway retreat for anyone who wants or needs to unwind and relax.
Already looking forward to our next visit....Thank you Hazel and Ross.

We had dinner in May with some friends. Full marks for very warm welcome and attentive service. The menu offered good choice using good local ingredients - almost every choice showed care in selecting and incorporating local Cornish ingredients. Good value for money.

Great room, fantastic service, amazing location and incredible food. Could not fault this hotel at all. Hazel goes that extra mile to help, recommending days out, menu choices and great wine. She even managed to find a spare phone charger. Can't wait to go back!!

Spend the Jubilee weekend in this hotel and I think it´s one of the most superb hotels I´ve ever been.

As soon as we arrived Hazel was there to help us even though at the same time she was helping in the restaurant. Gave us quite a lot of information about the places nearby or any doubts we have.

The room was quite spacious, and we could directly enter in the big field that is near the hotel. Found few minor faults in the room but as soon as we told Hazel they were fixed.

Defenetly it´s really worth the money and if I ever go to that area again I´d choose this hotel or even recommend it to others.

The only thing I´d say of "Take care of" is the entrance or the signalling of the entrance to the lane in which the Hotel is situated in, we missed it twice :) but I´ve to admit that one of the nights it was really foggy so was impossible to see much.

Our stay at Trelaske Hotel was perfect in every way. Fantastic peaceful rural location half way between Looe and Polperro in a beautiful garden setting. Nothing was too much trouble for Hazel who was a wonderful hostess. The meals were the best we have experienced in the UK and the service second to none. We will definitely revisit on our next UK holiday and thoroughly recommend the Trelaske Hotel to anyone visiting this region of Cornwall.

This was our 2nd visit to The Trelaske Hotel and the level of service remains as high as before. The quality of the food is the best we have ever come across and have to admit to planning our next visit whilst eating dinner on our last evening !! If I could recommend any hotel for a peaceful break with first class service, it would be this one. I remain astounded that the restaurant isn't bursting at the seams as the food that Ross prepares every day is amazing !
You will not be disappointed when you book to stay at The Trelaske.

We tend to use Tripadvisor to help us choose hotels: this time all I can do is agree with all the positive, complimentary comments made about the Trelaske, where we recently spent a relaxing and enjoyable week. It's set in several acres of lovely garden (including the polytunnels from which come so many delicious meals, of which more later) and all you can hear at night is The Sound of Silence. Bliss! Our room (number 5) was a kingsize, with balcony overlooking the garden and towards the distant hills. It was the most comfortable room we have ever stayed in: good bed and splendid storage; and generous sofa at one side of the room, from which you could watch the flatscreen tv. (How often have you tried to watch comfortably while propping yourself up on the bed in hotel rooms and getting a stiff neck? Not at the Trelaske!)

Hazel is the 'front of house' lady and is friendly, efficient and highly knowledgable about the area. Nothing is ever too much trouble and we liked her very much. Ross is i/c the kitchen and every single meal we had was outstanding. There is a choice of about half a dozen dishes for each course and a three course meal plus coffee and mints was extremely reasonable. Every piece of meat was tender and tasty; every bit of fish mouthwatering without being 'fishy' (gratis the Day Boat at Looe, whence it comes); every vegetable originally served and cooked to perfection. And don't get me started on that treacle pudding....!

We have no hesitation in pronouncing the Trelaske one of the best hotels we have ever visited from every point of view; book now while you can and before this well-kept secret gets out!

P S Don't be put off by the Oaklands holiday home park on your way down the lane to the hotel: it really is cemetery-quiet and decidedly upmarket in the stationery mobile home stakes.

Room Tip: Garden rooms are the largest and have lovely views; hotel rooms are slightly smaller but represent e...
