“Excellent food and service”
Reviewed 1 July 2012

Bedroom had a balcony and decor was of a high standard. We appreciated having a bath and a shower as this is not always the case. After the excellence of the food on our first night we chose to eat in the hotel for the rest of our stay. Each meal we were presented with warm homemade bread and each course was described lovingly by Hazel. There was at least 2 fresh fish dishes per night. There was plenty of parking places right outside reception. The dining room was spacious so we didn't feel cramped and all in we had a relaxing stress free stay being treated well by friendly and sociable staff. We will definitely return in the future and tell our friends.

Thanks to Hazel and Ross for an excellent stay recently. Hazel was so accommodating and gave information on local walks and places to visit, runs the restaurant and hotel so well and goes the extra mile to make her guests feel welcome and very much at home. Ross is so talented and produced beautifully presented and locally sourced food with great desserts. We really felt relaxed at Trelaske. Thank you both.

Thank you Ross and Hazel for the most relaxing few days. Nothing is too much for this couple. Hazel is a wonderful hostess and Ross makes the most delicious meals. The hotel is set in the most magnificent scenery and very quiet so that you forget the hustle and bustle of every day life. This was our second visit and every bit as good as the first. You feel welcome from the time you arrive and we left feeling very refreshed.

Just returned from our second visit to Trelaske, equally as good as the first.
Hazel is the perfect hostess, going that extra mile to ensure that all of your needs are met, including advising on local walks and places to visit.
The hotel provides the perfect setting for a peaceful relaxing break, set in the countryside with bunnies playing in the gardens.
The breakfasts are superb and set you up for the day.
We will certainly be back again!

We have just returned from a wonderful 7 night stay with Hazel & Ross. We travelled with my sister & her husband and having read the reviews on this site were looking forward to our stay with anticipation. Our stay exceeded our high expectations from Hazel's warm welcome and professionalism to Ross's divine cooking. We had two of the garden rooms, these are very comfortable and spacious rooms with lovely views of the Cornish countryside, kept fresh and clean by Hazel's very small team of helpers. We loved watching the antics of the bunnies from the windows as they foraged closer to Ross's poly tunnels.

Ross's food is outstanding, beautifully presented, the vegetables are fresh from the garden's poly tunnels and the fish was superb, we enjoyed every meal. Breakfast offered a good variety of cereals including Hazel's Muesli, yoghurts and fruits followed by a good choice of cooked items.

The hotel is in a very tranquil setting and the grounds are well looked after by Ross.

Having now discovered this gem of a hotel we will be back again soon.

Room Tip: We had garden rooms with balconies and the views were lovely. The hotel main building with its resta...

Had a fabulous few days with Hazel, Ross and their staff recently and cannot praise them enough for their hospitality, delicious cuisine and relaxing atmosphere! Hazel was a perfect host and goes out of her way to ensure you have the best holiday ever. She booked all our trips and even offerered to book restaurants for us! However, the Dinner menu was so beautifully presented, delicious and more importantly, locally sourced, that there is no need to go anywhere else. Even the people staying there were friendly! We felt like we were with friends. Can't wait to go again.
