Staff at this lovely pub were brilliant as always, but, this is the first time we have eaten here in season, we usually go during the winter when it is quieter, and it was, for the first time, awful. Cremated onion rings, overcooked chicken, wilted salad and bag end "chips" . And why oh why put a paper napkin under my burger. Try serving it on a plate instead of a lump of wood and then you wouldn't need to adopt this pretentious practice. Sorry Ship but we won't be back until the tourists have gone home and you start catering for locals again
