“Brilliant accommodation, location is perfect.”
Reviewed 15 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We had 5 nights in Mousehole and were lucky enough to stay at 2 Millpool Terrace. The accommodation is perfect. The house is really well set up and contains everything we needed or wanted. Including friendly welcoming cats in the local streets. 2 Fore and The Ship local restaurant and pub provided great food. Such a perfect introduction to Cornwall.

Booking the cottage was easy (although I really don't like Pay Pal as I invariably have problems) as was finding the cottage. The people who look after the cottage were very helpful and ensured I knew how to contact them should I need to. Added to this was a very informative file which covered everything from how to work the washing machine to where to eat in the village.

The cottage itself is has 2 bedrooms (one double and one twin), although storage space a little on the small side if you have a family with lots of stuff.
The very comfortable living room has video and TV with lots of videos which I did not have time to watch even though I put out the ones I really did want to catch up on, as well as an interesting collection of books. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the equipment you could need.
Also loved the little seat outside the front facing the 'street' as its a lovely sun trap, the street is really a small lane with a lot of greenery
The only downside and one that most would not notice was the duvet covers, as they were made of seersucker type cotton, but probably for the best as would have found it too hard to get out of the very comfy bed.

Getting there is very easy by public transport as Mousehole has a regular bus service to Penzance and can get to most places from there, although if you have a car think parking would be a big problem.
Walk from cottage to sea is about 30 seconds; 1 minute to the bus stop (and local shop)
There is a local shop with limited supplies but you can get milk and eggs etc as well as the local St Ives sausages which were very nice, Pam's Pantry does good breakfasts and light meals also very nice cake.
As for evening meals there are several restaurants my favorite was the Old Coastgaurd Inn, although 2 Fore Street was a very close second. The Ship Inn is a little more economical but is still good value and I had a couple of very nice meals here.
I tried Jessie's Dairy for the pastie which was very disappointing and Jenners fish and chips were really awful.
The overall location was lovely and I really enjoyed my stay here.
