Stopped in here for a quick snack. I had a Cornish cream tea, also ordered was a kids sandwich and ice cream cone and a large ice cream dessert and 3 drinks. Came to £20. Cream tea was lovely and the ice cream was beautiful and the portion huge. Nice friendly staff too. We sat outside as it was really sunny and it was a little sun trap.

Have given this place a go several times over several years The staff are always lovely young girls who are nice and cheery. The ice cream is delicious (but that's the brand not the place) Pasties dry and bland (go to Aunt Mays in Newlyn- they are delicious) Over priced

Very welcoming of us and our two dogs. We sat in the sun trap courtyard which was lovely and warm. A nice menu. The second visit was for a cream tea which was fab. The thunder and lightening (alternative to the traditional) cream tea went down very well!

As a regular visitor to Mousehole - every year for the last 15 years, we are regular visitors to Jessie's Dairy for cream teas, pasties, or even just an ice-cream. The staff are very friendly and the quality of food is very high. As the title says, it's a little gem!

Living as we now do, just 'up the hill' in the village Paul, we are very fortunate to have ('on tap') a County full of delights. If not from the simple and yet breath taking scenery, a selection of, shall we say and with a bit of tongue in cheek, varied and unusual inhabitants - on land, sea and airborne, no legs, two legs and more - to that moment when another foodie pleasure pit stop is discovered.
Enter 'Jessies Dairy', a place we have been aware of for some time courtesy of the fantastic selection of ice creams that make/have made our extensive ramblings/walks around here that bit more worthwhile and yet now we know that there is so much more. Tada, 'Crab night' no less (apparently there are also 'Sole nights', 'Mussel nights' and others planned for the future?) Requiring nothing more than a visit or telephone call to book your table - here we suggest that you don't dither as 'Jessie's' does not cater for coach tours, cosy numbers is all I will hint, you are grown ups and will understand! - and armed with a couple of bottles of wine (hint number two!) we were there.
Now I have forever had a phobia about Brachyura species and lord knows why.To the ridicluous extent that the mere odour made my stomach do somersaults. A childhood thing, maybe that infamous dodgy meal, who knows but something that I have constantly tried to correct and this night seemed just perfect to 'have another go'!
Thank goodness I did.
From the moment all four of us shoe horned our way in (you haven't met my friend Jim have you?) and after a friendly explanatory chat from the hostess about the meal to come, with the very helpful 'how to' hints on crab dismantling plus a few ideas for us to take away, we put on our individual and figure flattering 'splatter guard covers' provided, opened the wine and as if by a magic the meal arrived - a Spider Crab and crab claws, freshly baked bread, butter, mayonnaise and lemon. Yours truly, happily wielding poker and claw cracker when required, twisted, teased and cracked whilst really enjoying the superb taste and texture. It was a meal revelation and delight for all of us and whilst resembling something from Alien (Spider Crab) the crab was simply fabulous.
It is not a meal for those who are unwilling to 'get down and dirty', hands on is the way here folks and neither is it a meal to be left groaning due to excess. It is sufficient. Suffice to say that if you back it up with one of 'Jessie's' very own ice cream desserts, that will tip the scales toward 'just right'.
The lady hostess (owner) and aide coped admirably and amazingly quite happily with our blend of banal questions, noise ('Jim' again folks!) plus enthusiasm, joining us for a glass of white wine as and when she could.
We will (regretfully because that means others may fill the place!!!) happily recommend this venue to all we know because it is great.
We will all also definitely return and take family members as and when they visit us.
Thank you 'Jessie's', that crab phobia, what a load of hooey.....!!
