+ very clean room, great location for harbor views, very friendly helpful staff, great breakfast, good food and beers right next door at reasonable prices.

- our room was very small (ok for us but we,re small ! , a couple of six footers would struggle), location may not suite everyone as plenty of pedestrian and some vehicular traffic past our ground floor bedroom window. Distance of car park from accommodation may not suite everyone.

overall mousehole is a lovely place- great walks and nearby attractions and the ship inn is a great place for a short stay

We had lunch there on a beautiful sunny day, on the little terrasse amongst the lovely roses!
We thoroughly enjoyed our food, which was nicely presented, extremely fresh and just delicious!
Lovely, friendly service and beautiful draft cider!

We visited this hotel during the two weekends the great floods were occurring and were very happy with the hotel, room, staff, locals - who took us under their wing, food and the whole atmosphere of the place. We were made to feel like we belonged and really enjoyed our visit here. We would like to return when the weather is much better.

We celebrated a birthday-Mel decorated the table, hung a discreet banner and asked if we would like a cake organised. The staff were friendly and delightful. The food is locally sourced, simple, honest and consistently good. The room, over looking the harbour, neutral decor, very comfortable, clean, bright and airy, lovely views.

Room Tip: We asked for a room with a view

Each year we spend a week at Mousehole and treat ourselves most evenings to a meal at the Ship. It is always lovely to see that it has retained its charming olde worlde atmosphere. (a lot of places we find have been "modernized" and spoilt). The food is always very good, and there's always an interesting specials board. Prices are very reasonable and the staff friendly and smiley. There is a nice dining room overlooking the quaint old harbour, but it's equally as pleasant dining in the lounge or bar areas. Thankyou to all at the Ship for a special dining experience !

Read everyone else's reviews with interest. What you have to remember is that this is a pub in a tiny fishing village. Prices were excellent, service great and the food brilliant. Before entering I was not expecting it to be Michelin starred!
