Have been to Mousehole lots of times but never in here before. What were we thinking!!! Great coffee and gorgeous cakes nice staff, love the vintage take on the feel of the place but....the view oh my goodness the view. Sitting outside in glorious weather a real suntrap and those views was a wonderful way to spend an hour. heavenly bit like the strawberry cake really!

We came across this cafe by accident, stopped to have a drink and decided to have lunch, food was excellent would certainly not hesitate in recommending for a snack lunch.

if you are lucky enough o visit Mousehole in Cornwall you must include a visit to the Rock Pool Cafe, it is hidden away. if you have parked in the top car park on the left hand side looking towards the sea are steps, if you go down a little way you will find this pretty vintage cafe.
You can sit outside looking out over the sea whist partaking in the best cream tea I have had.
Home made cakes are the order of the day, the cream tea has, butter, clotted cream, jam and fresh strawberries, lip smacking!
The service is great and very friendly.
All the china and cutlery is vintage, there is even a little beach hut that you can sit in if a bit windy.
I highly recommend this hidden gem of Mousehole.

Overused and gushing the clichés may be that will (constantly?) be posted regarding this near hidden Cornish coastal gem but honestly, all are deserved. Sure the outside 180 degree plus view is the ace in the hole, absolutely fabulous, stunning (here pick adjectives you like and liberally spread them about and you may still not do justice to the location) but that is the backdrop to a café brimming with originality and 'wit'. From the Swan tea pots, vintage aka 'retro' crockery and cutlery, to the food, tea and coffee all served with a smile whilst patiently fielding questions on local sea life, bird life, bus routes, coastal walking, paint, tiling (the owners other world is Welbeck Tiles, check that out!) and so much more. In short its mysterious vista from the roadside - a flag waving 'Rockpool Cafe' at you - should be the only inspiration you need to take a well earned break, inside or out, at this place. Enjoy.
