“Nice hotel, poor food”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

The hotel was very nice, but the breakfast both mornings was dry and burnt. The evening meal, gammon was very chewy and dry and the butterfly chicken stack was breaded chicken in a bun, not anything like the description. Saying that would recommend for accomodation...just eat elsewhere

The room was ok but was directly over the entrance. Very noisy patrons of the bowling alley have there smoke under the window. I will not voluntary stay here again. If you happen to like ten pin bowling, this may be the place for you. Food ordinary.

Went here for a work social. Great ten pin bowling facility with better atmosphere than larger bowling allies. Good choice on the bar menu and food excellent. Staff courteous. Overall an excellent evening.

Friendly hotel run by good people. Breakfast was exceptional and this Hotel is situated in a beautiful, quiet lane but remarkably close to Porthole Beach. Lovely old world barn type but and a small bowling alley is on one side of the hotel.enjoyed it very much.

Stopped here for bowling on a Sunday morning.
Couldn't find it initially and when we did weren't sure hotel was still in business.
Minibus and cars parked across forecourt made parking difficult.
However staff very welcoming and bowling alleys were well maintained and great for what we wanted. Costs reasonable too.
Shame about the lingering smell and fug of burnt frying oil that overwhelmed the entire building!
Interiors really need some lighting and some fresh air!
