if you want peace then the room is not for you, people run in the hallways at all time of night and seem to have no respect for people trying to sleep. prices are set in stone you can't get a discount if you book early or last min. bed is too soft as are pillows. we only stayed there as are normal place was fully booked.

I know Premier Inns are not exactly the Ritz but we could not praise the staff here highly enough. Our son was ill during our stay and the staff were friendly, helpful and extremely accommodating to a 10 year old who was under the weather. The room was clean and comfortable, the pub/restaurant next door served good food and again here the staff very helpful and friendly.

I stay in premier inns for business 3-4 nights a week so see some variation in standards but this place is really good.
The restaurant and bar especially, the staff are very good and really friendly, the food is good too.
And best of all the beer is well kept , I would recommend a pint of tribute.

I have stayed at Premier Inns before and they are all much the same, bland and impersonal. The beds are comfortable enough and the room has enough for basic needs, that is all. Apart from that, on the motorways anyway, one has invariably to eat breakfast at the unappetising cafeteria (motorway style) next door.
However, the Premier at Quintrell Downs has a lovely country setting though only a couple of miles outside the Newquay boundary. And they serve you breakfast in their own restaurant/bar. There is a good selection of cereals and fruit, croissants, tea and coffee to which you help yourself, and a waiter/waitress takes and brings your order for a cooked breakfast to the table.
The reception, bar and restaurant staff were all friendly and obliging although I have to say that they occasionally showed frustration at the pressure. This may have been because I was part of a party of around sixty men ( with a few wives) who were taking part in the Cornwall International Male Voice Choral Festival. However, they did keep the bar open into well into the early hours of the morning to indulge our desire for drinks and singing, without any complaint.
There didn't seem to be a shaver point in the room, which I found rather annoying, but the staff always left it clean and tidy for our return in the evening.
This is a great centre for travelling to other parts of Cornwall, and my wife and I would happily go back as part of a smaller group, or as a couple.
Probably a bit overpriced as Premier Inns go but there were other compensations.

Friendly and helpful especially the restaurant and bar staff, the room was of the expected clean standard that you come to expect from Premier Inn along with the very basic room facilities but I believe they have become over priced for what they are. Unless you get a low cost deal the cost of over £80 Sat & over £100 Sun night (room only) this bank holiday weekend means that you can broaden your search for alternative accommodation. I chose to stay simply to be with a group of friends.

The advantage of staying in a Premier Inn is that you know exactly what you are going to get - a comfortable room which is clean and well appointed, great customer service and a very friendly welcome. My wife and I stayed two nights in a disabled room in the Premier Inn at Quintrell Downs near Newquay though at a total of £229 it was rather expensive. However, the hotel is well positioned and we were able to explore parts of Cornwall we had not seen before including Redruth, Falmouth and Truro. We ate in the attached restaurant on the Saturday night and our meals were beautifully cooked, well presented and reasonably priced. We had a most enjoyable stay and will return some time in the future. I can recommend this hotel.
