We were lucky enough to book online the morning of our stay on a busy bank holiday weekend. We were lucky to be given a family room on the corner part of the hotel. The room was huge! Despite check in being busy the staff were helpful and efficient. The restaurant next door was lovely and appears to be well managed!

Had two special lunches, fish and chips and the gammon with baked potato, they were good as well as being good value at £5.99 each, Service very friendly and pretty quick, even when busy. Use this place quite frequently when visiting Newquay.

always try to stay at PI...and this is Probably one of the best.....reckon though...if you moderate your charges, your occupancy would be higher....think that £199 for two night next week, room only a bit harsh...give up eating in the restaurant...A it is over rated, and well over priced...B better cheaper locally....last stayed July 2013....still the same as before...but lot less people staying....easy to park, which is a good indicator as to occupancy

Room Tip: get the upper floors if possible....

I have been to a few budget hotels in the Premier Inn and Travelodge chains (mainly due to free breakfast for under 16s) on short family breaks. They could learn a lot from the staff employed at Quintrell Downs. All staff were very friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast at TableTop was excellent value for money.

i stayed with 3 other adults and one 7 year old. the staff were amazing and the food was so good we didnt eat anywhere else. we had a room overlooking a roundabout which was slightly noisy but not enough to keep us up at night. this was my first stay in a premier inn but i would defiantly stay again. my little girl loved it and all the staff look the time to say hello to us. room was very clean and tidy and with a tv, tea/coffee facilities and hairdryers provided there was nothing else we could have needed.

Spent two days in this PI as located just outside Newquay and only a quick five minute drive away from there. Standard was normal PI with no issues regarding the room or decor/cleanliness. Bonus was it had air con so that helps to get a good nights sleep. The reception and cleaning staff were all polite and we had no hotel issues whatsoever.
Different story with the table table restaurant.
I think it struggles to cope with the volume of people that use it. Don't attempt to eat there unless you have booked as is packed.
The serving staff at dinner were better than the breakfast staff as at least they did occasionally acknowledge you.
For breakfast we stood for 4 minutes whilst we were ignored. This was then the theme for the whole breakfast experience.
Unfortunately this is one PI where the breakfast doesn't have a hot buffet and you need to order the cooked food via the waitress. This becomes an issue when you appear to become invisible to them. It also appears that the Manager on Duty that morning was a psychic. As we had been sitting a while with no order having been taken she appeared behind us clearing another table. When asked if we could place our order she said (without even looking up) that the girl would be with us shortly.
Alas this wasn't the case.
When the order was finally taken it took a while for the food to come. My daughters dippy egg turned up in a sauce bowl. When asked for an egg cup we were told they didn't have any.
On cracking it open it was still raw.
As I said this may all be down to the volume of people passing through it but I would be inclined to avoid this place if you can.
Would use the hotel again though.

Room Tip: Facing the car park are quieter as the front faces the main road.
