We have just returned from a wonderful week at the Trelinda and are already planning our next trip. Me and my husband went with his parents who had visited last year and recommended The Trelinda and spoke highly of John and Jackie....we were not disappointed!
We had rooms 10 and 11 on the second floor, a few steps but nothing too strenuous. Both rooms and fantastic views over Newquay and Towan Beach.
We were welcomed on arrival by John and Jackie who are so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
Our room was really nice with en suite, full wardrobe, dressing table with mirror, tea and coffee making facilities, towels provided and mini toiletries. Everything we needed really. The bed was so comfortable and that sea view....wonderful.
A lot of people on here have commented on the breakfasts being great, they aren't wrong! Cooked exactly to your liking every morning, they were delicious. There is also plenty of fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt's etc to choose from which is all very tasty. Some of the breakfast room has a sea view which is lovely. The waitress [Sorry I cant remember your name] is fantastic and really helpful and friendly.
There is a lovely lounge area to sit in with lots of books, Cornwall magazines, board games etc in and off course the honesty bar which we took full advantage off! It was always very well stocked and nice and cool in the fridge. The prices are nice and cheap aswell.
There is also a nice conservatory on the front of the B&B to sit in and watch the world go by.
We were very sad to leave The Trelinda behind to return home but we will be back.
Jackie even made us a packed lunch for our 6 hour drive home as we left too early for breakfast! Both her and John waved us off which was a lovely touch.
I cant recommend this place highly enough, and cant wait to go back.
Thanks!

Spent a lovely week at the Trelinda in June,
Jackie and John are such lovely friendly people, nothing is too much trouble for them. Everything about the Trelinda is brilliant, the rooms are spotless and the breakfasts are huge with so much to chose from. Best B&B we have ever stayed in,what with Johns help with taxis, restaurants etc. and Jackies breakfasts and muffins (yes they realy are that good) it all made this a wonderful holiday. Thank you Trelinda..

Room Tip: Room 11.Lovely room with nice view of the sea ,on second floor but stairs no problem even for OAP

Stayed at the hotel last week, fab place.. Spotless accommodation, great hosts in Jackie and John, lovely waitresses, and the best breakfast you will ever have anywhere. Great location for the beaches and town centre shops and restaurants, and parking on site is also a bonus..

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights in June. The couple that run it are really friendly and helpful. There is an honesty bar with very cheap prices so you can enjoy a drink in your room. It's inly about a 3 minute walk to the first pub or restaurant in the centre of town. 5 or 10 min walk to the nearest beach and about a 20 min walk to fistral beach. Brilliant location everything easily accessible on foot. Our room was quite small but had a huge bed and still had a wardrobe and a dressing table in it and an ensuite. The only issue I had with the room was that the positioning of the furniture and the fact the room was small made it very difficult for me to sit at the dressing table and dry my hair comfortably. The breakfast that is included in the price made up for this however because it was unbelievable! There was a wide variety of fresh fruit, cereals and muffins freshly baked that morning! As well as being able to order a full English cooked fresh or scrambled egg and smoked salmon on toast or a choice of any of the ingredients together! All round a fantastic B and B that I would definitely recommend and would stay in again when I return to Newquay.
P.s try the restaurant little kahuna. We ate there and I reviewed it on here the food is delicious.

Had a lovely 2 night stay in a family room. The Hotel is spotless and although some facilties were a little bit 'behind with the times', it just added to the charm and relaxed atmosphere, home from home. Weve stayed in many different places, but this has got too be one of the best presented, varied and fresh breakfast's weve ever had, the choice was amazing and every morning fresh cooked muffins (coconut and raspberry then blueberry cheesecake). The owners were incredibly polite and helpful and even offered a 'honesty bar', if you wanted a late night drink. The only downside was the hotel is on a steep slope and cars seem to race up the hill, was noisy at night, but this wouldnt deter us from going again .... even just for the breakfast!

First time down in Newquay for a short break and can honestly say the hotel and hospitality was fantastic. Superb breakfast and a clean room. Would defiantly recommend the Trelinda. I'm quite well travelled and never write reviews but after visiting here felt I needed to as they go out their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome.

Once again we have had a great time staying at the Trelinda.
We stayed over the Easter holidays and even though the hotel was full, the standards were as high as ever.
The room as always was spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed.
We actually leave earlier now so we can enjoy there breakfast a day earlier, I don't think I've ever had a better fry up!
Really cant recommend Jackie and John's hospitality high enough.
If your looking for a lovely place to stay you won't be disappointed if you book with them!

Room Tip: We love room 5 but it is their most popular room, so book early to avoid disappointment.
