OK so it is a chippie and for my taste buds one of the best I have eaten in (that is apart from the one in London that I used to manage!)
Traditionalists will be delighted as the fryer (and boss?) certainly knows his trade and frys in beef dripping. If you have not tried this or at all worried by this , do not be as it imparts a flavour second to none and as the fish etc and chips are properly fried and drained you do not end up with soggy anything or surprisingly for some greasy food, what you do end up with here is a great (in all senses of the word) plateful, wonderful flavour, crisp chips, moist succulent fish and being served by a totally nutty but delightful waitress ( I said I would give her some stick!!)
So for great taste, value, entertainment and a full belly go here!
AND no I am not connected in any way with this business, but do appreciate what they do and will return (even though the waitress is nuts! ;-).
