Reasonably priced clean and comfortable B & B. We were happy at the size of our triple room and plesantly suprised at how spacious the full bathroom was. Would recomend to friends.

Room Tip: Triple room perfect for parents with a child of any age.

hotel very clean, friendly people around. Very good breakfast. Parking ok, but bit difficult for big cars to manouvre(chevrolet captiva). Great ocean view from hotel and very close distance to ocean and beach. Will come back again.

I came here for a surprise birthday treat. We got a taxi from the station, but after working out our bearings the next day, this wasn't really necessary as Tir Chonaill is walking distance from Fistral Beach, the harbour and the main town. Huge room with sea views from two windows. It would have been an ideal family room for two young children, as the two singles are almost alcoved off, but close enough to keep an eye on them! We were off season, and for the last two days, the only guests. However, Bridie, the owner, still produced great breakfasts (quality bacon! Well she must be a Donegal woman.) and is very helpful. We asked whether there was a Sunday carvery in the area, and Bridie recommended her golf club(also round the corner and does accept day visitors to play golf, and has lovely seaviews). We didn't make it ,as we went over the headland towards Cranock and found a really nice pub/restaurant there with headland views. Also to be recommended after a day out - coffee in the Headland Hotel. It has a lovely conservatory with piano playing and waiter table service. Also proper high teas on tiered cake stands etc. We didn't go for the high tea, as Bridie's breakfast, plus a Sunday lunch is probably more calories than one should reasonably have in any day/week!

The taxi driver who took us to the B and B tried to encourage us to book him for the Eden Project at £30 each way the next day. So glad we didn't ,as the bus from the bus station costs £7 return, takes you straight into the Project and you get a discount on entry with the bus ticket. It's a picturesque route too.

I really enjoyed my stay here, brief as it was. Thanks Bridie, if you ever read this, for a lovely stay.

Carol
